Really creative use of the assets! The gameplay could use fleshing out like winning moves onto levels with more opponents.

I get to play as a spinning pizza, 10/10 in my book

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy it!

And indeed nothing beats a spinning pizza hahaha. Looking forward to add more variety though, any assets that you feel like would be an awesome addition to the game?

I didn't know I needed this game. If you make a full version post jam I'm in to keep playing it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy it!
I'm currently still messing around with the game, testing some features. Right now I'm working on trying to implement the customisability and the UI to go with it. But yeah, I'll make a full version of it after the jam is over and everything goes well. ^_^ So stay tune!

Wow, very fun game! I loved the presentation with the speed lines and the random customization. It would be interesting to see a full version, where the customization maybe changes how the top plays, Beyblade style! Really cool stuff.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much, Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the speed lines really adds to improve the game feels.
Also, I would love to continue working on the game as there is so many features yet to be implemented, especially the customisability. I'm just thinking of ways to make it more unique, different and stand out from conventional Beyblades games at the moment. Once again thanks!

Super creative, very well made.

Thank you so much, glad you enjoy it!

Clever way to use the assets, and great game feel overall, but i couldn't figure it out when i was winning or not, sometimes i thought "i going to destroy you!" and i got destroyed instead, why? not sure.

Developer

Thank you so much! I added some information on the game mechanic in the webpage, but I do agree that the mechanics need some polishing to allow better and easier visual indicator for the player.

Nice game, love the music and speedlines, that really produce tension

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I was lucky that I found music that fits the theme really well and yeah the speed line does adds to the game feel!

Really fun, love the different blades

Developer

Thank you! glad you enjoy it! I have more variety of blade parts planned if I continue working on it! ^_^

Very Fun game. Totally reminded me of beyblade, and also nice music to match the game.

Maybe adding a jump would give the game more ways to play while keeping it simple. Either adding health pick up or allow health regeneration over time will help make the game easier.

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy it!

Yeah, I did thought about adding jump at first but didn't get around adding it as I wanted to tie to another mechanic to go with it, and that got remove when I simplified the game for the scope of the jam. And yeah there was a plan to have Blade integrity as health and then a separate gauge for stamina, stamina being regeneratable thru environmental pickups/interactions while health can't be regenerated but has armor that makes it very durable. (either of them dropping to 0 will result in a lose). But I'm still tempering with the idea to make it more unique and interesting.
Once again thank you so much for playing! ^_^

The game concept  really reminds me of the day when i played beyblade with my next door neighbors. For me, i would like it if i was able to move the camera around or have the camera lock on to another top while im spinning. But other than that great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! And yes! that's what I'm hoping to achieve but with some twist to the conventional beyblade.

As for the camera I felt allowing camera to move around might make it too chaotic and hard to control, It's also not quite the game style I'm aiming for. But you got a point there, I do agree that I need some sort of visual indicator for the enemies. Perhaps an target indicator icon that move around the edge of the screen showing their position!

very cool, love the concept and it is very satisfying to destroy other spinning things
I also enjoyed being a spinning pizza
would love to see this game taken even farther

Thank you so much for playing! Glad you enjoy it!
I would love to take the game further too and I've already got a fair bit planned, but if I get within the top 10% I'll definitely allocate more time to making this game full fledged! ^_^

Spinning goes brrr
Really fun game , sounds and impact feel good
I don't quite understand why some of the hits kill me in 1 shot and why some don't , other than that nice!!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!
And yeah I do agree that there should be more indicator as to how much damage an enemy has stored up, perhaps an increasing amount of  particles emitting from it the more damage it stored.

This is hard! Really fun concept. Reminds me of Beyblades haha!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Yes I do feel the difficulty curve is rather weird hahahah, but glad you enjoy it!

Destruction derby with spinning things. I had fun playing that, took me too long to figure out how to play it, but I liked smashing things.

Developer (2 edits)

Thank you, glad you enjoy it! And yes the death animation is rather satisfying hahaha.

btw I deleted your other comment cause you may have accidentally commented twice of the same comment.

It's always nice to see how a bit a juice and bim, you feel everything much better!

The game as really nice game feel, it's a bit easy when you get how to win (ok, to be fair, it took me 3 games to get it but after that it's easy :D).

Had fun, won the game, that was a nice game to test!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, glad you enjoy it!

I did have a lot planned for the game but ran out of time to implement it. One of the plan was to add more levels with unique mechanics each.

I can't see the flaws because of my bleyblade nostalgia as a kid but I thank you for reminding me whats it like to LET IT RIP!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! and hell yeah!  Ahh all those fun memory with beyblade hahaha, I remember that one time that the duel was so intense that our beyblade exploded and shrapnel flew across the room hahaha. 😆 Luckily none of us was injured.

I used to battle my cousins on a battle arena/box they had, good times

That pop animation 😆 Feels nice to be a blade 👍

Developer

Hahahaha yup, that's what happen when a blade dies hahaha 😆
Thank you so much for playing! ^_^

Great use of the assets ! Very nervous and addictive gameplay.

Not very sure I fully understand how and why I get destroyed after some impacts and not others. it could use a health bar or something to tell you if you're doing good or not.

Appart from that, solid work ! great job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, glad you enjoy the gameplay ^_^
I added some information under the spoiler section for more clarity, but yeah originally I did have more planned. Was considering having a health, a stamina and power bar but with the limited time I went for something simpler for the submission.

Submitted(+1)

This was crazy. The use of the the assets was really unique. Great work!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much! Yeah it is strangely satisfying to watch all the assets spin really fast.  hahaha >_<
