Combat is fairly simple, but navigation feels slightly clumsy.
A nice little fun story, but it seemed like the roles weren’t as well defined for the characters as you had one character who seemed to be more important than the rest. Nice soft graphics and music added to the mood.
The story was told very much in a manner similar to that of a children’s tale, but doesn’t quite have the full effect of a children’s tale. Pacing could be changed slightly and depending on the intent, the writing could be altered.
This was a very sweet game that was fun to play. I like the variety in terms of what the player needs to do, even if some of the quests were overly simple (the signs thing in particular). The cartoony visuals nicely matched the tone of the game, I especially liked how little decorations kept appearing on the main village map as the story went on. The fight with the giant crab was also a highlight, the fighting Congas could support their own game if you went that route. A really charming experience overall.
Score: 62/80

I really enjoyed this game. Lovely art work, music, humour and a positive message when finishing the game, well done.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it too.
I really enjoyed this one! It is so light and sweet, which normally is not something I tend to gravitate to, but this game has such whimsy that it is difficult to not love it.
There are some basic issues, small passability errors, combat being too frequent perhaps, but honestly, these little nitpicks are things that can very easily be fixed/tweaked. The rest of the game is just so nice that the small errors don't really detract from the game itself.
The humor is great - innocent and fun. This is the sort of game that younger kids could enjoy just as much as adults.
I really did enjoy your game a lot, great work! Maybe you will make more Conga-based adventures in the future :)
Thank you so much!
That was really lovely to read. Yes, the passability errors do make me cringe when I replay it haha, I don't even know how I missed some of it and thank you for the battle feedback.
It makes me so, so happy that you enjoyed the other aspects, especially as this is the first game I've made. I was thinking maybe my son would like to play these kinds of games when he's older (he's only 1!) I would definitely love to take all the feedback I've gotten so far into consideration and make a new Congas game so much! I will likely get started on it in the new year.
Thank you again for your comment, I really appreciate you taking the time to play and let me know what you think.
I've gone through a LOT of entries and I have to say, I think this one is my personal favorite! The art style and humor are spot on and very charming, the only gripes I have about it is that the battles drag on a bit longer than they need to but it didn't detract much from the overall experience.
I'll be very sad if this doesn't place, best of luck to you guys! o/
Atlas, I can't thank you enough for your wonderful comment. This has made me so happy and I really appreciate you taking the time to play my game. I'm not even sure what to say! Just thank you loads :).
Lovely artwork <3
Thank you Eggion, that really means a lot to me. I spent most of the days scribbling away crazily trying to get it all done in time!
Hey Nicola! Your game was really tasty! It started really cute but got pretty crazy fast :D
Also, the battle music rocks!
SPOILER ALERT:
Fought a giant chicken (because of the dramatic effect), placed cones everywhere, fought some vegetables.
10/10 would place cones again ;)
Hiya Dezue!
Thank you so much for your review, it really made me smile! I'm so glad you found it so tasty!
This game is little gem! Creative artstyle , gameplay and story. The ending was very touching. My favourite part was putting up all the signs! I also enjoyed the final battle. Well done on designing all the characters and enemies!
Will there be more?
Good luck in the competition.

Thank you so much! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I would definitely like to do more in the future, but as a new story following a different Conga :)
Alright, I gave this game a shot. I must say, I was impressed! Other than the passability errors mentioned by Jake Sauvage earlier, and the feeling that the final boss fight took a tad too long for my tastes, it left a sweet aftertaste. (Yeah, a story about a cook, and aftertaste, I know, lame pun right). Definitely one of the better entries I've played so far. Congratulations on completing your project! I hope you make more games in the future as well!
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. I really appreciate it so much and I'm so happy you were impressed. I wasn't thinking many people would play my game, it means a lot to me. All the best. Nicola
Wonderfully original, cute and charming game, well done to all involved.
A really touching and adorable game with a unique art style and delightful story. Definitely would be interested in playing a longer version! I really loved the character designs and the enemies were so cute I felt bad for hurting them xD. Well done on your submission :)!
Thank you so much for your comment! I'm so happy you enjoyed playing it.
This was great! It had a cute, compact story, kept the battles interesting by introducing new party members and never felt tedious. I will say that the passability errors were not my favorite - but a lot of love went into this project and it show! Congratulations on your submission!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play my game and write such a wonderful review. It really means a lot to me.
I gotcha, friend!
