  • This game certainly looks fantastic, but playing it was a confusing experience. I don’t have the slightest idea what’s going on in the battles. Are there advantages or disadvantages to any of the choices? Is it possible to lose? The story is all over the place, but it has enough momentum that I was eager to see it through to the end. I guess I found the whole thing to be a little bewildering, but the character designs, art, environments and interface all look amazing.

I gave it a try but honestly it's not really my type of game, I always have a difficult time getting into side-scrolling rpgs for some reason.. I thought the moving around in the building was kind of confusing too. Maybe I missed something important but the only way of getting around was by random luck? lol I had to keep trying all elevators until I finally was able to get to wherever I was supposed to go. I would have liked if there was some sort of map available, in one of the walls for example consider it's a building or the heroine could just give us a little hint about where his her sister and the strategy room, etc. ^^'
Apart from that. I thought the art was really nice and the battle system looked interesting but I didn't get to figure out if the result was just random or if there was a sort of right answer to hit/defend more.
Overall: The game looks well done and it showed you spent a lot of time on it. Keep it up! :)

You can tell a lot of work into this project! I love the art style, the UI and the way you guys decided to display your messages - I will say the perspective kind of threw me off a bit though for a L-R sidescroller type of game (it feels almost like a top down, rather than a left to right) - and I found the battles a little bit pointless as you really only get to click a button and execute a bunch of moves (without ever really knowing what's going to happen or what the impact is going to be). I think the battle system would have been a lot cooler if it was a little more 'responsive' - right now it feels almost like autobattle and for the duration of a battle I almost completely disengage from the game.

Hello Jake!

Thanks for playing our game, we out of time to make the battle systems. We still tweak and make it more responsive in the next build. Thanks for the feedback!
