I like the writing; the stories are good. Purposely neglecting the otomo to get the bad endings was painful 😢 All of the art is cute though! I enjoyed playing.

Really enjoyed it, it reminded me of DDLC. Though I probably wouldn’t have gone for the secret ending(s) if it were any more tedious.

Other than some of the already recommended fixes, maybe an interesting way around this issue would be to lean more into the Tamagochi inspiration and have some secondary activities (e.g. feeding the Otomo) that also provide stat points. If they increase the bars slower than events, but are more predictable, then you are introducing a risk-vs-reward element while also providing a bit of gameplay variety.

But really, any way of making it so you don’t have to memorize (or write down) all answers to get a specific ending would be appreciated. And even without that, I liked it a lot!

Grinding to see the true ending was worth it! Maybe there could be an option to ignore and skip to avoid getting too much Affection.

The writing in this game is so good! I really went in expecting a simple "pet simulator" game and was blown away by the rich story and the very different feeling each ending gives.

The ambience was also excellent, with the musical pieces following the changes in mood as the story progresses with a rollercoaster of emotions.

Those sad endings were... really sad! Poor Otomo... ;_;

On the visual side, I really liked the little Otomo sprite, especially when he goes !! for an event. :)

There QOL inclusions in the game are very welcome, such as the speed acceleration and the option to check a different path in one of the endings without having to do it all over again. Very good job!

I only have one improvement suggestion: Add a delay after showing an event screen before the player can press any of the options. I accidentally double clicked on the otomo and selected one of the options before I could read.

Oh and don't forget to add the "hololive" tag to your game page for improved visibility!

I really had a lot of fun replaying the game to get all the endings and was greatly rewarded with the true true ending. Great game!!

I'll be honest, some of the ending made me jumped! An interesting way of  making a Tamagotchi game have a goal to it! The art is quite adorable and the choices points made sense but had me to memorized them a bit for the Affection + Trust ending, but I don't mind it that much! Overall, an delightfully adorable experience packed with emotions! Great job!

i was not prepared for the emotional demolition this brought upon me

I couldn't get the final 2 endings, but I managed to get the rest, and I will say that I really loved the writing in this submission

There's not much to expand upon when it comes to a VN in such a short time frame, but that writing on the endings totally made up for any shortcomings there - I genuinely felt sad reading the loneliness and sadness endings.

I'm not sure what the conditions for the other endings were, but I can only hope they were written just as well. Good work!

Hey thanks for playing our game! Glad you enjoyed it! :) If you ever want to come back to it, you're always welcome to!

To get the 2nd last ending, you will need to max out Affection and Trust at the same time (which ends up being a bit of memorization and a little bit of a grind). The last ending unlocks once you've seen each ending once. I can't say more since it becomes spoiler territory.

I couldn't get the True ending for a while and was going to rate your game despite this, wanting to move on so I can go check out the other games as well. But I decided that no self-respecting, self-proclaimed lover of VNs would ever stop playing without at least seeing all the endings, especially the True ending. So I kept going until I finally did it.

And my score for this game actually went up because of it XD

That grind was so worth it, seeing the Truest of endings you had cooked up. That was really some journey and I'm really glad I kept going.

In reality I've no notes. I can't really score you any higher for gameplay and innovation since it's basically a VN with a simple resource management system, which I've seen done several times already. I understand that probably because of the jam there wasn't much time to iterate on the formula, but you sure as hell made up for it in the writing department which, I feel like, is more important anyway for a VN.

I won't say much about the story since I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but if anyone here who hasn't gotten all the endings is reading this then I urge you to go back because it's pretty good. Not groundbreaking stuff, but the tonal shift is wild and really feels like a genuine VN sort of True Ending, if that makes sense.

Final comment: I didn't know that Cece's first solo live will be held in the Philippines XD I'm excited to see it live! I wonder if I'm the Otomo she finds crying this time around ;>.>

Good work on the game. I super enjoyed it! Congrats on the submission :D

Thank you for the feedback on our game! I passed this feedback along to our team and we were all really happy to hear you really enjoyed it. XD I'm also a huge fan of VNs and always need to make sure I play through every single ending to experience the full story, so I completely understand where you're coming from. It takes a lot of patience (and in this case, a lot of grinding) to get there. And when Ceci gets her first solo live, us Otomos will all be crying together. :D

Thanks again for playing our game!

Never managed to get the trust ending as well as the 2 secret endings. its so difficult getting trust up without accidently getting affection up. There definetly is a lot of resetting and memorizing needed to know which gives which stats. Love the Humor, decisions themself and the endings I went through! Would maybe be helpful to get shown which stats exactly increase for which option.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! I'll pass the feedback along to our team. We were discussing whether it was necessary to add those stat option increases in or have the meter shown during the event options page to make it easier... But we ultimately decided the grind was somewhat important for the final part of the story so we kept it that way. Maybe once the feedback period ends, we'll make a revision to include those. Thank you for the useful feedback!

Cute game! Took me a while to realize I had to click the exclamation marks and not the Otomo itself. So many sad endings T.T but I guess it made me really want to get the true end so it worked out.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! Yeah, we realized after the grace period ended we should have made Otomo click-able too. Glad you were able to get the true end!

Otomo is so cute! I got all the endings :D

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! Congrats on getting all the endings and enduring all the grind. :D

It was tricky getting the true ending since I had to memorize which events boosted which stats, but it turned out to be a fun challenge. I became pretty invested in taking care of the little otomo. Very cute game!

Oh howdy here I go getting all the ending s, how much of an emotional roller coaster could it be anyway? clueless

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing our game! Just wanted to let you know we added another ending a few minutes ago in case you were interested in checking that out too! XD

So I just came back and tried to get all the endings, but... well, is it me or is it a bit harder then i remember it lol? I remember first time i played i think i got the true(?) ending without having to try, but now i can't seem to get it for the life of me (including one where i swore i did it correctly, but maybe i misremembered I got so many yanderes just trying to lol) I assume its when you max trust and affection at same time?

And also i'm going to assume   that ??? might be some other combination, but i kept getting yandere ending trying to get the true(?) ending so i'm tosisng in the towel. Still, nice game!  I just kind of wish it waas easier to tell  what stat a choise raised, or something to help getting the gooden ending, but that might just be me getting unlucky. Very cute game still regardless! very glad i got to play it!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Oh that's strange. No we didn't make it harder but you do need to max out trust and affection to get the true? ending. I'll send the feedback to our team. Thanks for revisiting it again!

I was not prepared for the ending I got when being nice to my little Otomo!! :o

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing our game! I'm guessing you got the Affection ending? XD It helps to hit max on both Trust and Affection at the same time for the True ending. :)
