Hey there! This project looks interesting!

Not sure if you’ll be needing another programmer but I’d love to follow this project! A bit about me - I’m a computer science student who works as a tutor part-time. I really love Godot Engine - I’ve read the Godot docs cover-to-cover (excluding class reference).

Check out my profile for my past work (all made in Godot). I’ve also published source code for some of my projects - see my GitHub if you would like ^^

i never knew i wanted physics diablo

awesome job! would love to play more of this style ^^

i was not prepared for the emotional demolition this brought upon me

otomo cute :D

the placeholders left in still pain me…

thanks for playing! the chocomint was intended as a bonus item - it acts the same as any other food, except it can be given at any time and it factors in whether the member likes it (in reference to this video). in playtesting i found i’d always ignore it because there were other things to do - definitely needs some refinement!

The RTS player in me would love some hotkeys to select characters and actions (maybe 1-2-3-4 for each character, Z-X-C for Move-Attack-Collab)

Ah, the classic underwater vibes of “can’t tell if comfy or terrifying!” Amazing execution on all fronts here. Especially loved the first level’s music. Props to your whole team! I could definitely see this type of atmosphere lending itself to a longer game with some wicked environmental storytelling (though I’d have doubts that the manual breath mechanic would stay interesting).

Extremely cool!!! Nailed the aesthetic. (It may have taken me way too long to realize that “Level 1” was a Button)

Holdut marketable plushie when?

Fun idea! Reminds me of Mario Party. I love the music (wish it looped)!

How do you do, fellow fermata motif game creator? In all seriousness, great work on your first published game! The piano feels great and I love the music track! 4/4, would destroy a music career again ^^

Amazing idea and execution, made me laugh out loud!

Awesome game! The mechanics feel really good to control - I’m guessing you spent quite a while tuning it! The game objects are also really well-communicated with implicit tutorialization. Nice work!

Our game is kinda point and click? It's a desktop interface puzzle game; check it out!

Here's our game! https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2024/rate/3047545

This is my second submitted jam game, and I couldn't have done it without my team; check it out! https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2024/rate/3047545

(guide in the discussion board if you get stuck)

wow i can't believe you guys would SPOIL the TWIST ENDING

In all seriousness, thanks for arranging this group! I had a ton of fun working on this project.

We've had talks of expanding the game in the future... no promises though ^^;

Thanks for playing!

(yelling to the background) yo astro!!! people like your writing!!!

Thanks for the kind words!

I almost don't believe it myself! Thanks for playing!

I think I spent 4-5 days working on just the computer mechanics... glad it paid off!

And you can thank our lovely artists - they did an amazing job!

Here's our game! Rate Unsaved Changes by VernalUmbrella, astrobowie, pikadaddies, MxMargarine for SCREAM JAM 2024 - itch.io

It's a computer desktop puzzle/mystery psychological horror game! Inspired by... too many things to list.

Our team worked incredibly hard on it - I hope you can fit it into the stream!

(I've also put up a solutions guide on the page if you get really stuck - we didn't have much time to balance the puzzles!)

Hello! Thanks for trying our game.

We didn't get as much time as we'd have liked to tune the puzzles, so we recognize that some of them may be obtuse or unfair. Some players may also be more interested in focusing on the story.

While we strongly encourage you to try the puzzles yourself, we've created an answer key here. If you feel inclined to use it, it would be helpful for us if you stated which puzzle(s) you used it for. Thanks!

(ANSWERS BELOW, LAST SPOILER WARNING)

START.zip

Find the instructions in CREDITS.txt. Our initials spell out AMpv.

01.zip

W:L stands for Word:Letter. Reading the Lth letter of the Wth word from the only text file available, it spells RECALL.

02.zip

A file with instructions for computing a digital root is included. Applying a1z26 to the corrupted data in the chatlog yields a sum of 37, which compresses to a digital root of 1.

03.zip

The 'craven contact' is the email from Rickford Cravson. Add up all the numbers in that file (including the date numbers) to get 2133.

04.zip

The process log is running a shell, which you cover up with the NIGHTSHADE. The uncovered letters spell EUMEharvest.

05.zip

Find the smallest dollar amount: $23. Grabbing the 23th (rd?) word from the body of the plea (email) gives you the word STILL.

06.zip

juljournal has only sparse capitalization. Extract the capital letters to get REMORSE.

07.zip

Turning our attention back to the process log, it shows the date as 9/23/2078.

08.zip

You can find the final filename in the chat log: IMG-20780608.jpg.
