Good evening all,

Our team is developing a small-scale RPG in Godot 4.0.

Wanderlust is a blend of a turn-based and strategy RPG with an NES graphical style, focusing on the journey of six characters as they cross a continent. The combat system is reminiscent of games like Ultima and Live A Live.

We are currently looking for a new team member to help with the project. Our lead programmer has worked with other engines like Unity before, but is new to Godot. It would help tremendously to have someone willing to help guide us with this in the short term, as well as assist in project development and bring it forward.

Shown below is a screenshot of the current state of the game, and a mockup of the vision of the game.

Gameplay in battles/dungeons would consist of a birds eye 2D view as well as a 3D view of the lead character’s POV. This screenshot shows what we have currently.

This is a mockup of what the game hopefully will look like.

Many thanks for your interest.

Hey there! This project looks interesting!

Not sure if you’ll be needing another programmer but I’d love to follow this project! A bit about me - I’m a computer science student who works as a tutor part-time. I really love Godot Engine - I’ve read the Godot docs cover-to-cover (excluding class reference).

Check out my profile for my past work (all made in Godot). I’ve also published source code for some of my projects - see my GitHub if you would like ^^

Feel free to send me a discord invite. I'd love to get the chance to talk with you. My tag is slappygrandpappy. -Hirsch
