Nice game! The premise was really cool and you executed it really well!

The art was really impressive, especially as it was all hand drawn. I loved all the sounds/music and it was really cool that when you are low on health it makes the kettle whistling noise (though that did get a bit repetitive for me).

Really impressive project for the game jam, nice job!

Amazing game :D  I love the game over song that was really funny! 10/10 for that wildcard.

I really loved the unique character designs and enemy animations. The one that would bite out of the floor was sick!! This game is really polished with lots of depth, I really loved all the combinations of recipes you could explore and customize. My only downside with the experience was some performance issues — i couldn't figure out if it was enemy spawning, or whenever enemies died, but I had frequent lag spikes playing in browser which made it tricky to aim sometimes while compensating for the lag. But I had a great time! Music, sound, graphics all are so well done. Excellent work on this!

I feel like the pineapple kingdom has been maligned :sob:

But other than that this is great! I enjoyed the super playful take on the theme and tower defense. A little levity goes a long way. The gameplay loop was solid and the tension of needing to be at the oven to craft new towers / in the fray to collect items vs the super powerful removed observer magically collecting and dropping goods was a great move. Added a ton of tension to the waves.

Extremely solid submission.

Glad you liked the gameplay loop! I'm gonna let you in on a secret, the turrets were not planned in the original design doc XD. I ran into difficulty thinking of how to make the game more interactive, and the team came up with it midjam :D But glad it turned out well!

The game is very fun and the art goes perfectly with the vibe of the game, the only thing is that the game keep having small lags repeatedly, maybe it's because i played on browser, other than that very fun game, i loved discovering new weapons

I liked your silly song at the end when i died i heard about 5 times, bc i kept dying again and again and again dsklfhsdlkjfsdlkfjsd, i need to get good. D: The art was pretty, the sound was nice and i really like rogue like games glad to see one! :D

Super cool game, I liked the gameplay of shooting food and placing towers to vanquish this evil pineapple ! The graphics are amazing, I wasn't expecting such an introduction at a game jam. And the music is super cool and goes well with the game. Super good job !

Oooo the audio for this game has a lot charisma~! Felt super immersive! Will say, even with the tutorial, it took me a minute to figure out the controls and also how to build turrets and weapons. I kept defaulting to thinking that the game had hotkeys I could switch to for turret placement and firing my weapon (I'm too MMO brained). I think the forge system confused me the most on my first playthrough (I kept trying to use hotkeys and kind of wished some sort of prompt popped up to let me know "I'm dumb").

Eitherway, once I figured out what to do I had fun. Good stuff!

I like the artwork and it's a very fun game. I would like to have similar food combinations for the turrets though since I have too many of one type of food while always lacking in other types.

Nice one!!  All three of you guys totally knocked it out of the park with your roles! The fluid animations, rich sound design, and super-smooth gameplay structure that holds it all together... it's just... *chef's kiss.* It's definitely not easy to accomplish something this professional in a week, but you guys nailed it!

P.S. The way the deep voice says "You have died" in the Game Over song will never not make me chortle uncontrollably xD

Thank you so much!! It was definitely a new experience for all of us but it was so cool seeing it come together in the end. Solonka's art was very evocative and easy to write music to. I'm very glad you enjoyed the death tune too, I was a little worried I went overboard there ;D 

I was also frankly amazed with how far Noitcani managed to push this game, they're a coding and team-management powerhouse.

The art and music are amazing!.

The game feels great, and I love how the "turrets" start to clean up the waves

There is some lag when enemies spawn, perhaps it's just my computer or the web port. I guess that's the only thing that could be improved.

Hey Franco thanks for playing!! I think it was a bad decision on my part to run a "While Loop" iteration to dynamically select spawn positions instead of selecting a select set of spawn points. I also could have optimized the instancing of new enemies better! Hope the lag did not prevent you from reaching the end of the game, as our artist and musician put in a lot of effort for the ending sequence. The executables for the various OS should perform better.

Heyy! Don't be ashamed of the "lag issue", suff like that happens all the time, especially when we try to deliver software in a short period of time. I guess that my game also has troubles with the web version in some browsers. It's not a big deal, and I completed the game successfully!

I really loved the art and audio on this one (fantastic song btw). Well done to all of you, I feel like this one is gonna be a hit.

One aside, there seems to be some hitching in the Web version when enemies spawn, not sure if that's just me.
