Nice game! I really like the leaderboard! I love the upgrades and the sound department. Good luck!

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! Good luck to you too!

11th place. Not bad :)

Love having a leaderboard actually. It's not just a random number generator right? Jk ;D

Mechanics took a bit to get used to, just assumed I could barrel straight into the game without looking at the tutorial/instructions. I was wrong, so thanks for including them, would be lost without!

Really enjoyable overall though, I love seeing 3 bars on each line and using the overcharge mechanic. Would be cool if there were sound effects for filling them up, and maybe a bonus if a bar is filled 100% as well.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The scores on the leaderboard are most definitely human achievements (unless robots are already living among us o_O)! And I'm glad you managed to understand the concept from my hastily, slapped-together mess of a tutorial. I was thinking of adding a 'charging animation' while the sparks are overloaded but I didn't manage to figure out how to in the end.

I'll take 16th place any day!  Cool integration of a leaderboard.  I really like the music slow-down for when your charge gets too low.  Nice game.  Were the circuits procedurally generated?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not sure if it could be considered procedural generation but the nodes were generated by the computer through randomizing timers and the distance between nodes.

Submitted

No problem!  Yeah, I'd consider that proc-gen.

This was fun! Including a leaderboard was a great idea and made me want to play more to get a higher score (I peaked at #2). Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I really enjoyed your game as well! Your game has a great potential to become a fun party game if you decided to continue development and add a multiplayer element to it.

A very entertaining game that has ignited my sense of challenge. The timing is wonderful, and it's truly remarkable that this game is set in an electronic circuit. Excellent accessibility, graphics, and sound department. Great job.

Developer

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoy it!

Nice game. Even upgrades are implemented. Sometimes everything feels to repetitive though

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I was actually hoping the upgrade system and combat event will give the game more variety but I guess only having one control button might be the downfall of the game. Really appreciate the feedback!

Nice game! I think you put an interesting spin on a familiar genre. The mechanics are difficult to understand from "how to play" text alone, but I managed to figure everything out after I played one run. So, 'how to play' hints are good, the player just needs some context.

Maybe it's just me, but I would prefer if there were less button mashing. As of right now, you need to mash to defeat enemies and to recharge energy. It feels repetitive, especially during combat. I don't think you can do anything other than mashing during combat.

Overall, it's a fun game, I found it very entertaining and it feels quite polished. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the how-to-play section was not the best way to explain the mechanic and it was actually slapped together really quickly near the deadline since I was running out of time and failed to incorporate the tutorial on the very first run lol. I'll do keep the gameplay loop feedback in mind as it's a good advice to improve on.

I didn't understand the text explanations at first but once you play, you understand quickly how it works. Fast and fun endless runner mixed with roguelike elements. Maybe more treasure nodes would have been great to have more differences between runs. But I understand that it's harder to balance.

Great game overall, good job !

Developer

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I was also a bit hesitant about the treasure node spawn rate as I don't want to make the game too easy by giving the player more upgrades in the beginning but I'll do keep that in mind.

I liked it.

Initially I was a bit confused by the background graphic. It appeared a bit like paths I should follow, so I was expecting that I would need to follow the branching paths whenever an opportunity came up, like switched train tracks. Then I couldn't help but wonder if the game would have been better or worse if it was on-rails with switched paths.

As a pure endless runner style game, electrons in circuits is  a good gimmick.

Polish felt good. Solid entry.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! It really meant a lot.
