Nice idea and complexity.

I love the unique art style! I keep losing after a turn or two, seem to be getting 1-hit killed, not really sure how/why. Even though we made a card game this jam too, I'm not really a card game person, so I'm probably just missing something obvious. Cool that you got in a deck building aspect too! Nice work!
That was a great challenge. Unfortunately after three attempts there was still 7 waves left. I didn't understand how I died - as my health was 5, and the one guy in the front row was only doing one damage. Ah well, might give it another go before the jam ends.
I enjoy the cold but fantastical aesthetic. Great job both :)
Makes sense! Thanks :D
It's not something to take too serious in my opinion. Reviewing other games in the jam is quite difficult as you essentially need to play SO many games that learning the mechanics is seen as an extra step. If you take a game like binding of Isaac or something, the learning of the mechanics is not presented in a clear way.
Maybe what I would suggest is making the player turn red or something when they are overloaded, giving clues that they are exhausted/overloaded.
You're right that there are many games that deliberately obscure their mechanics, but we didn't really want to make such a game. I think making good UI and tutorials is just really difficult and usually takes a lot of time and playtesting.
And, yeah, there are definitely some ways to make it more obvious, we could have made the overload bar glow a little bit, or maybe add some visual cues to the screen borders to indicate overloading.
Big fan of the art style on this one, it came together very well. I liked the mix of card builder and how they pushed down in waves. Really well done! I feel as though some of the card mechanics were bugged and didn’t properly apply such as hitting targets behind and sometimes the random damage didn’t apply. With those fixed you’ve got a great idea here!
Nice game! I really love the art, it is so beautiful! Really fun to play !
Очень классный визуал, но белый текст на светлых карточках и светло-бирюзовом фоне очень сложно читать. Еще было бы здорово сделать более подробный туториал в начале, а то совсем неочевидно, что делать после выбора карточек)
What a cool game! The hand-draw visuals are very beautiful, and the mechanics are fun. I think there's a lot of space for expansion if you guys want to keep developing the game after the jam.
I really liked the art. Props for being the only game I've seen (so far) that actually has an icon for their game app, lol.
I didn't really understand the game or how to play so I didn't make it very far. The whole time I was wishing for music that didn't come. But I think the game looked really pretty, and has a lot of potential!
I found this game intruiging! It was fun to try and strike a balance between taking more cards vs getting your cards back. I never used the defend mechanic just avoided anyone getting too close haha. Was a fun puzzle to solve!
Really like the art for the game, super pretty ability cards. I also think the way the "overload" mechanic was implemented was super cool and well thought out. Definitely leads to some interesting situations.
Very solid stuff!!!
Art is unique and very nicely executed! I was never a fan of deck-building games but this one kept my attention for a bit and I enjoyed the experience, also its cool to see that you have two language available for the game, well done!
Love the gameplay and art style. Drawing for abilities is so intense!!! Like abilities icons from WOW or something like this :) Cool idea overall.
The game needs some balance though, because at some point I got the loop of -1 live +1 live and become "invincible". No one even get close to me. I've played some shields at the start with overload, and then it became to -1 +1 loop
I think -1 live and get ALL the abilities is too OP
Thanks for playing and for your feedback! Yeah, as a game jam game, we didn't intend it to be too difficult so everyone would have a chance at beating it. You're just too good! 😁
I think if I were to rebalance it now, I could experiment with harsher penalties for returning abilities, more ways to lose abilities or just making the enemies stronger in mid-late game so it would be harder to wipe them out.
I liked mechanics, idea and visual style!
Maybe there are problems with balance or I didn't fully understand
