Game Description
You are a window who wants to be a mirror. Take advantage of people's slow reaction time to follow your dreams!

How does your game tie into the theme?
You trick others into thinking that you are a mirror by moving and flipping objects on the left side of the screen so that they are symmetrical to the right side of the screen.

Really great idea. Maybe hitboxes are little small but, the game is pretty fun.

I like the idea of the game! Nice one

Really enjoying the stationary aesthetic! I also had trouble with the hitboxes / difficulty, but regardless, really cool concept and execution for such a tricky theme! Even more impressive that this was your first game jam ever. Congrats!!

I really like the aesthetic and general concept. I agree that the hit boxes are way too small for the time given. I suspect either increasing the hit box size or increasing the timer would work, I don't think you'd need to adjust both. I also wonder if a little audio feedback would help with giving people the idea that they're reasonably close with their attempts, a hum that gets louder or changes pitch the closer you get to the target areas for example. Very creative use of story too.

Right off the bat, I really liked the menu. The ruffled paper and post-it note aesthetic is really well done! The transition from menu to level is also very cool!

The line art fit with the papers quite well and the game had a pretty solid cohesiveness to it.

Mechanically the game plays quite well and is very challenging. That said, given how exceedingly close you had to get to “mirror” the other side, I got frustrated with this game quite quickly, I’m sorry to say. I’m hesitant to say anything was particularly wrong vs me either not getting into the groove or not having the spacial sense for matching, but there were times the game said I failed where I felt I should have passed… but, again, that could just be me.

Not sure how many games you’ve made in the past, but your description says this is your first ever game jam, and, to that end, this was a very good entry! You should definitely do more jams in the future!!

Neat idea, with a lot of potential. However, the are for matching up the objects is waaaaay to precise. The general aim should be that if it's reasonably close, it still works, as there's nothing more frustrating in a game like this then realising your being off by pixels is enough to fail.

Other than that, good job, I hope to see more from you some day.

The title and theme are both excellent. Decently fun once I figured out each level and the motions. Very cute.

This was a fun game, very hard though! Wish the timer was a bit more lenient. Hilarious fail messages!

I like the idea and the theme, never considered the hopes and dreams of a window. As the others said, it is a bit difficult to match what the game expects. Maybe an idea for the future would be to have someone else try and test your game from time to time? As a developer you sometimes get this kind of "tunnel vision" where you are so used to your game and controls that it just feels natural, while someone from the outside has a different grip to it

very very nice.  congrats on your first jam game! as others have mentioned, it did feel a tad difficult to get the positions right, but overall this was a really creative take on the theme! well done!

(if you ever change your mind, i'd love to see more jam games from you. and if not, well that's okay too. cheers!)

"This is my first game jam ever. I probably won't be joining again :)" why not?? I think you really did a good job, especially for your first time.

The main issue I see is with the difficulty, specifically you are punished for small differences in positioning the objects. But this isn't a big deal, just a little tweaking. Overall I'm quite impressed by the idea, and the aesthetic is cohesive.

This game is very creative and I like the theming around paper - a good way to keep the art simple. I think game over messages could be nicer though rofl
