Done! Here's our game https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2023/rate/2377246

Fun endless runner once you get the hang of it! Interesting idea to give control of the obstacles to the player. You should make this a mobile game! Nice job :)

Fun and unique concept! It is super easy to hide though as others have pointed out. Nice job :)

Fun gameplay loop, and quite replayable. Graphics was nice but I'm curious why the godot icon wasn't replaced for your character :D Nice job :)

This is so cool, especially being only 1mb and written in rust. I don't understand much about rust but it seems like you went for pretty low-level crates rather than a more fully fledged game engine like Bevy, is that more for learning?

I would like it if WASD was an option as well, and also the collisions get in the way of movement/jumping a little which took some getting used to. The graphics are charming and the parallax effect is nice. Really nice job, well done :)

Congrats on your first game! Not sure if I was playing it correctly but I just keep hitting space and win, is it possible to lose? Charming idea and style :)

Pretty unique! Amazing presentation, well done :)

Great looking game! Would be cool to see platformer mechanics like coyote time and jump buffering, just for ease of control (not a big deal though). The shadow mechanic is clever - well done!

Fun game! Platforming with the scale mechanic on the cat is addictive. The visuals were polished and consistent. I think you should make it clearer which way the one-way barriers go, as the only way I could figure it out was trial and error. Nice job overall :)

Nice job! Great presentation, art was consistent and charming. Played it with controller so it controlled well. Scaling as a mechanic works nicely with platformers. I played it in Linux using Wine, would be cool to see a native Linux export :)

Awesome idea! Our game was made with Godot 4.1.3 (C#). We've been using Godot to make jam games for a few years :)

Really fun skill-based platformer! I thought the controls were fine with some practice in terms of the key bindings. It might be helpful to introduce a buffer when using the scale (arrow keys) to give some leeway / allow some forgiveness for the player mistiming things by a few milliseconds. You can adjust the buffer length to create different difficulties. Just an idea :) Overall though, very addictive, the game is hard to put down! Well done!

Really cool game! Simple yet fun and addictive, especially to watch the colies move on their own and eat others. I won after a couple of tries, it crashed once I think when I spawned too many colies. Well done! :)

Pretty clever game! I like the visual consistency and it looks like a good amount of effort went into polish. It needs a bit more in terms of sound effects, and an objective to complete the level (not sure if I missed something here?). Maybe some story to tie things together. I think you can really expand this game to be a fairly unique FPS-puzzle with a lot of cool levels. Well done :)

I did not expect the theme to be interpreted this way, clever! And pretty unique concept. Nice job :)

This game is so good! The weapons fit really well as well. The final level where you get really huge is epic :)

Pretty fun and kind of addictive. Like others I didn't realise you could dash upwards initially, just a small detail but might be worth integrating into the tutorial :) That said, I really like how the tutorial was integrated into the game.

Really nice polish, well done! Feels like more than a jam game. Presentation and audio makes a cohesive experience, nice job :)

We made a hex-based, turn-based series of strategic battles following the Epic of Gilgamesh :)

Nice idea, it has a lot of potential!

Pretty addictive and replayable, nice job :)

Chill game, good atmosphere. Nice job :)

Thanks for the feedback! Your game looks cool too - I'll be sure to check it out when I get a chance :)

- The cancel button just cancels/reverts any changes you make, it should probably be labelled "Revert" instead, to close the settings you just press the cross on the top right

- Yes the UI needs work. The active character health/mana/reagents is visible next to the portrait on the bottom left, the health is displayed as a bar above each character, and as you said you can also see on right-click. We'll need to figure out a more intuitive UI

- If we decide to continue development the spell system will be reworked, including easily visible details maybe on right-click or hover - we'll think about that. Appreciate you pointing it out :)

- When you reload you have the opportunity to change the difficulty - it is set to medium (no allies) by default. We should probably keep it set to the last selected difficulty to avoid this issue. Another UX issue :)

Very much appreciate you trying our game and the feedback is valuable - thanks again :)

Fun scaling mechanic with the rope, I think it could be tweaked to be a little faster / smoother. Really nice graphics, presentation, and story-telling - nice job!

Cool idea, controls are a bit hard, I like the consistency with the art style :)

Clever game, nice art and polish!

Awesome game! Fun, fast-paced, almost half-life vibes. Played through to the end wanting more, and I'm not even an FPS guy. A few things I would like to see: AI movement like strafing for some challenge, better AI detection (I could often see and shoot them and they are standing still because they are far away), maybe a bit of telegraphing on that enemy that kills you on contact (the atmosphere for that part is really cool though).

I noticed a lot of nice touches you don't often see in jams like bullet decals, cool bosses, and some good atmospheric storytelling. Music suited the game really well. Nice job, hope you work on it or something similar post-jam :)

Pretty fun, nice job! Would be cool if there was a scale key near A and D to play with just one hand, but not a big deal. I like the little messages scattered around the place :)

Clever interpretation of the theme! Nice polish and art, and its pretty addictive -well done :)

Pretty cool that you made an RTS for a jam, that's very difficult in such a short time-frame! Nice tunes as well. Would be great to see this updated :)

Nice job! Addictive, especially when you grab powerups :)

Nice! I usually use a timer for jump buffering and im never happy with it - I'll steal your method for next time :) thanks for the explanation!

Cool game! Can be a good way to teach / practice typing. Or having voice support e.g. text to speech would be cool as well, although I'd feel a bit self conscious shouting "may this door open". Original! Nice job :)

Pretty polished. I like that you implemented coyote time and jump buffering and it works nicely. Often jam platformers without these are a bit frustrating to play :) Also liked seeing instructions / controls integrated into the game. Would be good to be able to rebind the controls, but not a huge deal imo.

Thanks for playing! We have a bunch of ideas to expand it as a mobile game if its well enough received, like powers to change the letter pool, more variable AI, possibly a tournament setting, a local coop mode, online leaderboard, etc

Should work now :)
