Enjoyed the game a lot. Cool idea and very polished.

Agree that not seeing what levers did made it hard. Lack of sound for things far away made me question if they did anything. I thing a good compromise between showing exactly what they did would to play the sound so you had an idea of what type of thing they changed. I also had trouble noticing the door changes from red to green and I am not even color blind.

Overall it was a lof of fun. My favorite thing was the menu which looks fantastic.

Theme: What's missing is your family members! Definitely fits the theme.

Fun: I really enjoyed it! There were definitely some parts that got tedious and I might well have given up if it weren't for developers in the chat helping me out. The worst thing was that often I couldn't see the effect of levers, so I had to run around and find the one thing that changed. I also loved the little bit of story with the characters.

Controls: Great! I only have a few minor complaints. I didn't realize you could switch characters by pressing numbers, so if I hadn't had that hint I would have gotten sick of using tab. Also there were some times I wished the characters walked a bit faster.

Graphics: Beautiful! The pixel art was very charming, and the vector art (I think that's the term?) for the characters in dialogue was great too.

Audio: Wonderful! I loved the music and sound effects. I also loved the use of the AudioPlayer2d so you can get an idea of where something was activated.

Accessibility: Mappable controls are great. The game is not really playable without visuals (actually, I think I'm the only one who attempted to make a game that could be playable without visuals). Showing an indicator by color only is bad for colorblindness, especially since you had red and green, which is one of the most common types of colorblindness. A simple solution would be to also have the symbols be different.

Originality: I have seen a few puzzle games where you need to use multiple character's abilities. But it's not super common. And this game definitely felt fresh and new.

Awesome game, tough puzzles :).

Presentation is great, both pixel and UI art look wonderful. Animations are very juicy and sounds help make the perfect atmosphere.

I assume there's no way to undo the move? I got stuck when pushing boxes and only way I've found to go back is to restart the game and start over.

Developer(+1)

you can restart the current level from the pause menu (ESC)

Loved the sounds and the song, really professional stuff, The menu and options were simple and efficient. loved the graphics, the controls are responsive. the characters avatars fell a bit off for the mood and i got stuck on level 2. I will try again later tho.

Thanks for playing!
If you find level 2 difficult you will hate level 3. :D

I am really, really loving this. But I got stuck in level 2 and I don't have a lot of time right now, so I have to get back to it. I feel I might need to do something with jumping but I have no idea what!

In some places a bit more feedback for the player would be great. I like how the colors are used for that, but sometimes I have Becky interact with green stuff and just nothing happens, without the game showing any indication about why.

Also, come to think of it, using colors for telling the players something might not be great for accessibility.

also got stuck in level 2

I actually had an extremely similar idea built at one point - very strange. The type of game here is really great, and I'm not saying that just because of the previous point. Good visuals, good sfx and such, and all around clean gameplay, pretty much what I'd expect from these three juggernauts. Nice work!

Ah yea? Hahah, imagine. I've seen that a few times though. Jam games that are just so similar it's creepy. Thanks for taking the time to play our game though! I hope it was fun! And that you got a laugh or two out of it. John did a great job on the dialogue.

I did very much enjoy it. Mine wasn't a jam game, just something I put together after learning of kenney.nl (he has a top-down tileset with tiny characters that fits this idea very, very well).

Found myself playing this for like an hour :) Really fun puzzles (although I did have to ask @Willowblade on the godot discord for some help on the nefarious level 3). It seems very polished and has nice mechanics and art. As usual, great job!

Developer

I'm glad you ended up getting some help, that 3rd level does seem to be tough for a lot of people, myself included lol. We should have made more time for playtesting in all honesty. But thanks a lot for taking the time to play our game and I hope it was still an enjoyable experience overall! ^^

Cool puzzle game, very charming and quite polished for a jam game. The character designs and the dialog were fun.

The puzzles had a good difficulty and sure were headscratchers at times. However, it wasn't always clear what puzzle element had which effect on the game, which created a rather tedious play of switching between all of your characters and seeing how everything interacts, often redoing puzzles multiple times. Especially Level 3 had this issue in my opinion.

At some point, I had a bug with music overlapping, which is a shame, because the songs are beautiful.

Otherwise, good puzzle game with stellar presentation. Bravo you four.

It certainly does get difficult though, I agree. It's a bit harder to properly judge that balance from the inside of the team. Well fell short on time and didn't get to play test as much as we would have liked. But thanks a ton for taking the time to play our game!

P.S. Thank you again for the tip regarding the tilesets Kwabsi. Massive help, very much appreciated. ^^
