Thank you for playing and recording it! That is always worth a million reviews so to speak. I appreciate the feedback here too. There are a lot of good points, but the one on adding an affect on the dragons is one I really like. I don’t know why, but I can never get the movement right. I should have some people test it for me next time.

Ha! Ty for playing. I really appreciate the comment!

Thank you for the feedback! I agree the mapgen needed some work.

Thank you for playing and the kind words!

I needed some culling of the rooms and lights and I forgot until I tested the web version :/. Thank you for playing and appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for playing and the feedback. I was definitely worried about accidental item loss, so good note there. Next time I’ll have to make it so you can pickup w/e you drop or something.

I really liked the theme, it felt pretty original, and I think the visuals did a good job giving you that feel. I struggled a couple times before reading the description and seeing that the combat was gestures. It would have been nice to have an initial screen for that. Otherwise I thought it was really well done.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree the dead ends are too much. I spent so much time on the balance (a weakness for me in the past) it is really nice to hear that aspect worked well.

This game just felt great. Moving and attacking was very snappy; the animation and audio were perfect. I also thought the minimal UI worked very well.

I was expecting the decision point to be more of a factor somehow. I tried the traps and they looked cool, but it quickly seemed silly to waste essence on that when I could be leveling up stats. After every battle I was basically pressing ‘c’ even if it meant I got hit.

That being said, one of my favorites so far from the jam and probably the only one where I backtracked looking for more after I found the exit.

The mechanics were good, but thought the graphics were really nice. Fun overall.

I enjoyed the look of this one. At first I was very perplexed how to beat the final boss, but it felt fun to figure out that puzzle.

Thank you for playing and nice feedback, thank you. Yeah, in retrospect the map is a little too large it takes a minute to get the mechanics of the elements. I found some obvious performance issues so I appreciate you pushing through them. I was surprised you said you had to start in the Fire area. The first menu should let you choose from all three. Let me know if you never saw it, that might be a bug.

Thanks for playing and the comments. That sounds like the performance issues, sorry about that. If you haven’t tried the download version and were interested, that should be better.

I really like the setup and dialog in this one. The story is a really interesting world. I feel a little silly though because I am not sure where the BnB is for the first quest to get the key. I searched both starting areas for a bit and could not find it.

Thank you for playing and the comment!

Thanks for taking a look and for the analysis. You are 100% right this version is drawing the whole level and that is a big issue. I have a version that fixes that with some culling and better reuses on the meshes. I didn’t really think of it until I posted the web version with about an hour left to go lol. Appreciate you powering through it though.

Wild, I am not sure what I was doing, but really enjoyed the second section. What a tone shift!

Thank you for playing, those are great suggestions. I wanted to add lore, but probably all of those would make it better!

I like the art and the controls feel nice. I was not sure if this was supposed to happen, but none of face guys seemed to hurt me.

I spent the first few just creating a layer so I would not fall into the water lol. Interesting concept and fun to mess around with.

Great idea for a game. Having to go look out the window to see the moon adds a ton of tension. Agree that it would be fun to see it with more to do.

The repeating room is a great concept for this theme, and this felt really polished. I really liked the music too, it kept me going to the end!

Agree with everyone that I really appreciated the polish. Effects, sound, and music were all great! Also really appreciate the tight gameplay. Great job!

Thank you! In my mind I was going to get to a point where I could give some options for difficulty, such as the time limit, number of repeats before ending the game, number of symbols used, but I didn’t quite make it.

Thank you for the comments! I forgot to turn on the option for fullscreen in itch.io, so I just fixed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thank you for sharing! Hello Paul 👋

Great point! I intended to make a toolbar to compliment the mouse controls and I am currently working on that for a post game release. Thank you for trying it out.

Fun! The penguins throwing their wings up was cute.

I had a good time with it. That second monster is the GOAT.

It was a bit trippy, which I thought was perfect for the story. Gave a nice 60s sci-fi movie feel. In the end I took the straight-edge piece and scooped them offscreen while downloaded all their Netflix viewing habits.

The way the main character turns to look at the camera at the end of the cutscene and flashed the monster eyes, really planted the idea for me such that it made sense when it happens in game.

Very cool art style and the voice over in the beginning was awesome. Really fun game play and could see it being filled out in a lot of cool ways!

My one suggestion would be to make moving tiles a little faster. Maybe I wasn’t meant to be left alone for so long, but going through 3 or 4 tiles in a row feel slow.

Great job!

Ahh that was very cool. My favorite bit was the seamless transition into the game, but overall it felt very polished.

This was such a cool concept. I loved how the parts gave different stats and abilities. I had a similar idea for my builder but never made it to the actual game part, so I am extra impressed you managed to pull that off.

I enjoyed the story/dialog a lot. If you did a new version I think it would be fun to add some dialog options just so we could enjoy more story bits.

This a was a fun idea and really enjoyed the art for the costumes.

These are great suggestions, thank you for pointing that out! Thank you for sharing your creations!

Totally agree that an outline would be a great improvement. Thank you for the suggestion and sharing your awesome monsters.

100% on that missing feature. Thank you for the comment and suggestion.

Thank you for sharing you creation. That looks awesome! Apologies if I mis-edited the description. I meant to say that the initial plan was to let you do that, but I decided it was important to get the editor in a good place and ran out of time on the rest of it.
