I loved it! I'm glad Josephine can meet Henri now:)

Very creative game. I like the game jam games that kind of tell a story! I had some responsiveness issues on the MacOS export, but for the most part it ran okay.

Really cool visual novel! The sound, the graphics and the story were really good! This could be expanded and become a full puzzle + visual novel game, where you would follow and interact with the story as an exterior actor.

Interesting game! I like the polish in the graphics and the sound effects. The dialogue is also really nice, who knew being a telephone operator would be so fun!

Am I right though in thinking we have to guess who's on the output side? Then through trial and error find out who to connect in the end? It seems pretty irresponsible for an operator not to know who's in what, but hey, we wouldn't have a game without it! :)

Developer

Thanks. Yeah without the guessing part, was more something like visual novel :D. But I did not have enough time to correctly say "It's your first day of work and a technician screwed up the mess with cables"

Not sure if this was just my machine, but the game seemed very slow - like text was coming up at a snail's pace (escargot :P). That said, I still enjoyed it! This reminds me of games like Papers Please and such. I think you have a really good idea here and would like to see it expanded if you can.

In fact I got a lot of ideas when developing the game, I think maybe it can be a cool little mobile game, just drag and drop jacks and read the story.

I never thought I'd ever get to experience the thrill of being a switchboard operator, but now I can cross that off my list :)

I really loved the ambient noises in the background which helped the immersion quite a bit. I was a bit confused on what the various letters and numbers on the left panel meant, so I had to do a lot of guessing.

Overall, this was a really unique and interesting experience. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks :). True, I got some player feedback surprised how it can be fun to be switchboard operator :).

Oh my goodness I want to murder the technician that keeps messing with my output lines!  It is a very simple but neat looking game. And it took me two tries to finally get Henry to finish his conversation with Josephine.  I enjoyed plugging in the cables and switching the caller to the other side, but having to guess who is on the output lines even before the technician made a mess of my lines  is really stressful.

Developer

Thanks. Nice, two try is the good balance to finish a 5 minutes narrative game IMO, so mission accomplished I guess :).
