Fun game, great presentation. Love the faux 3D art style.
However, I feel it gets too chaotic too fast. I was mostly just frantically rolling dice and putting them on the board, and didn't have time to mess with the colors. Perhaps a more gradual difficulty increase would help ease the player in.
The song really kicked in! Nice concept, nice choice of style, good job!
Really like this! the ui was pretty terrible but other than that the gameplay is so fun and the idea is so cool and the little animations on the little bad guys is so adorableeee
I love the visual in this game and the game is also fun.
good job.
Gave me old timey Kongregate vibes! :-) The game is a little on the difficult side, because everything seems to go way faster than I can drag and drop dice on the chips and then the table. Consider ramping up difficulty.
Well done on a good game!
Thanks for the feedback! There is ramping up of the speed, but I guess it starts too fast :D.
Certainly a very unique looking game, and the music slaps, truly pleasant to listen to. I found myself hooked to the game and I really enjoyed the rolling mechanic, however, I can't say I really understood what was going on with the colors. I would essentially just roll the dice, place them towards the end of the path, and just keep doing that. I had no idea how well or poorly I was doing, but after about 5 minutes of just blindly rolling and placing and not having lost, I wasn't sure what I should do haha. The experience was enjoyable overall, but I think the mechanics could've been instructed a bit more clearly (at least for me).
Thanks for the feedback! If we do an update we'll certainly add more diverse and better-balanced waves, and fix the tutorial as that was a common complaint.
Fun aesthetics, interesting mechanic!
It was difficult for me to realize how coloring the dice worked and it felt like they changed color too slowly to be able to keep up with the enemies, I was also kind of confused by the health bars they seemed to have and how they expired quickly? But other than that, the visuals are AWESOME, it has such a unique and striking style to it. The concept itself is neat too! Overall, I like it!
Super fun game! I kinda dig the vibe this game gives. It’s weird and uncanny but pretty cool. It took me a while to understand how to color the dice, so maybe that would need a little more explaining, but other than that it’s very frantic and fun. Well Done!
this is probably the jankiest and most “vibe” game this year, absolutely love it!
understanding the mechanics was a bit hard, but once i figured out the rules it felt like the game really clicked. music choice was very well fitting.
once enemies started rolling in it got very hectic, and it was hard to focus on what to do, but still very enjoyable.
with exception to the menu screen, the style of the game is one of the most distinc (and imo best), nice work!
Dice + tower defense combination is unusual :) Love the graphics and music. I am too slow for moving so many dices xD
The game lacks of affordance to make things more understandable, but the idea to use dices as units in a tower defense game is great!
The idea of a tower defense where the dices are the tower is amazing!
I didn’t feel like the colors changes mattered much though. Changing colors takes too long, and gives not that much reward (especially when the dices lifetime is quite short)
I also had a hard time being precise with the controls, and the enemies were moving too fast for me. :p
The visuals are quite nice but the interface is not clear enough in my opinion :
So, highlighting some parts of the table when you have dice in your hand or highlighting the dice you're going to grab when you hover over them would make the game much more easy to understand and play.
The music and sound effects are fine.
As for the gameplay itself, it is indeed fast-paced. However, the decision-making felt too easy for me because I felt like using only white dice was a viable option.
The main reason for this being the fact that chaning their color takes too much time, and also the fact that colored dice didn't seem to affect the gameplay that much.
Thanks for the feedback! I will take it into consideration if I will be continuing work on the game. I agree the changing of colours could've been more substantial if it were faster, and more wave types utilize the colours. I was kind of running out of time so I needed it to work first and didn't have time to design it more interesting.
Very interesting! I can see this getting better with more developement put into this. 3/4/3.
Stay crunchy.
Visuals are super brave and look really cool! I didn't expect to find a Tower Defense where the dice were the towers. Great job!
Took me a second to figure out but this was pretty neat! Resolution is kind of locked and I have an ultrawide monitor but was able to get it run correctly in a window after some fiddling. Got a score of in the 280s both times I played.
Thanks for the feedback! I know the resolution is weird but the UI doesn't work otherwise and I didn't have time to improve it. Glad you liked it.
PS you can do better than 280 ;)
