I liked the premise of every stat being able to be rerolled.
For your first game, this is definitely impressive.
Congrats on finishing the jam !

Interesting game. I did encounter a bug where I jumped and shot down then flew off the screen and never came back.
I enjoyed the controls and movement, but I wasn't really sure what I was doing.
The concept is a good start and with a few tweaks, fixes and a tutorial this could be really fun.
thanks for the feedback! I'm not quite sure why that bug happened (it did not happen during playtesting) but I will be looking into it :) I was planning to add a few more mechanics as well as a tutorial, and fix some of the bugs, but obviously time constraints as well as the lack of prior experience (this is my first game ever) prevented me from doing so. Good luck :)
Nice first game. I liked the idea of randomly changing the players and enemy values such that the larger value wins. With some tweaking that could make some cool back-and-forth gameplay. The only problem I came across is keeping my urge to bunny-hop at bay so I wouldn't run out of jumps. Overall well done!
You wrote in another comment, this is your first game. Taking that into account: Nice :-) Smooth scrolling, responsive player character, there would’ve been plenty things to do wrong here - but as a first-try it’s very ok. Keep on making games and try to get better! it’s all about experience! Cheers
I like the idea, but it is kind of hard to tell what is happening. I think if this were a offline jam, I could probably hear from you what the objective is and have a more pleasent experience. It seems like this is one of your first jams, and that is great! I think your biggest pitfall is wanting to fit in to many mechanics and not having enough time to make it all. hope you stick with it and make awesome stuff in the future :)
Yeah, this is actually the first game I've ever made. I completely agree with you on the fact that it's hard to tell exactly whats going on, and i believe part of that is because there wasn't a proper tutorial explaining the game to the player (I wanted to add one but ran out of time). Thank you so much for the feedback, appreciate it! Good luck :)
A cool idea, but I had a hard time getting the game to work. First time I dropped in and died right away, but was able to move left and right. Second time I dropped in and couldn't move, and no enemies spawned. Third time I dropped in, couldn't move, but an enemy spawned on the left side of the screen. A platformer where you play as a die is a neat concept but this could use some more time to get the core gameplay working consistently. I liked the thumbnail image, definitely makes the game look like an intriguing puzzler/platformer.
This game could be really good with more polish and time put into it. Collisions are pretty wonky, you can go inside walls pretty much all the time, the game needs more enemy variety and probably a bit of balancing but overall it was really good for a first game!
Congratulations on your first game! Nice work. Idk if you know but you can jump forever. I spammed it and he didn't come back down for ages lol
It would be cool if the bullets were a little faster. Also it seems like I ran out at one point but at least I can hide in the stratosphere if any more bad guys come
