This is a really cool concept! Reminds me of overcocked. Very nice art and cool gameplay, good job!

This was an interesting idea! I actually never played overcooked, but this looked very much like it, and I actually enjoyed it for a bit. However, a few things that still needed to be fixed: firstly, you should make us able to put our stuff on the table, because holding something that is not immediately needed just leads to me throwing it away. Also, add like an indicator what item you have cooking, because sometimes I forget what things I put in, and then I have to throw it away, or when I put 2 breads in the combiner, I just got soft-locked.
From a game design perspective, I like the idea of having to deal with more and more random debuffs that make the game harder... However, with that in mind, you would want the player to face it more often, so making a money system that increases when you succeed, and decrease when you fail makes it hard to reach those $2 intervals. Instead, I would suggest making lives, where you lose a life when failing, so that it separates failing and succeeding, and the more you succeed, the harder it gets.
The artstyle feels a bit inconsistent, some with pixel art, and some with smooth art, but since it was made during the jam, it is tolerable. The sound effects were good enough to give the player feedback of what was happening.
Overall a pretty good game. Well done!
Nice game, although as mentioned by others I feel the times to give the meal are a bit short. Nice look to it and quite fun, good job!
Didn't really get what I'm supposed to do in this game and there's no description on what these boxes are for. Though, it's a good game. I hope you will continue working on this game after the jam <3
I wasn't feeling this game for a little bit. Didn't make any sense to me.
FULL-SCREEN makes the game playable. This is something we didn't test for our jam either.
Pretty fun once you figure the game out in fullscreen. I like the color palette you used. Awesome work!
Looking forward to the post-jam version; it would be great if you can increase the time to make orders
This game reminds me a lot of overcooked. Unfortunately, the time limit until when you should deliver an order is too short. I haven't been able to finish any of my orders. A visual representation of the recipes in the game would also have helped me understanding what to do. I love the visuals though. Great job on that.
Thank you for playing! Overcooked was definitely a big influence on the gameplay and feel of the game, Though the balance was definitely off and is too difficult, but in the post-jam version the balance will be better, I do think in retrospect that more in-game instruction was needed and will adress that in the previously stated post-jam version.
Well done; this was a fun Overcooked-like game! The randomness helped throw a wrench into the gameplay, which took some getting used to but got more fun as I adapted to it. There are a few critiques I have. First, I don't know if this is intentional, but the player gets stuck while cutting potatoes (if it's intentional, a visual indicator would be nice). Also, it could use a bit more sound, but the audio you do have is helpful in enhancing the gameplay. But despite these critiques, I had a lot of fun with this one! Way to go!
HA! Cooking game. It reminded me times I played papa's games. Nice presentation and good idea. I was struggling at the beginning, but it's okay.
The art and sound effects of the game are nice. The character movement and orderings also feel smooth. There is an issue with balance here. The game is crazy difficult because the orders go by quick. Burgers are so unnecessarily difficult to make because of so many factors. The burger making station isn't very distinctive, so you might not know how to make a burger in the first playthrough. Burger making is also very far away from other stations, and is unreasonably slow. Cooking should've been the slowest activity, not making burgers. Orders that ask for multiple foods also don't pay extra, so you're better off preparing the next meal instead of the current one. It's a shame, I think the game would've been really good if the balance was right. Still, great work!
Very fun game, i found it really hard from the beginning, i was doing everything efficently but i running out of time for the order anyway, other than that, well done
I couldn't figure out how to actually play the game. So a tutorial would have been nice. All I could figure out was how to pick up bread.
I can see it is meant to be a bit like Overcooked, so I'm sure it is fun once you figure it out.
If you could let me know how to play I would be glad to have another go. (I don't know if it was because screen was chopped off or something)
Good art and unique interpretation, I'm glad not everybody used a literal dice lol. A tutorial would enhance the experience but once I figured it out it was fun!
Great looking art and sound. I couldn't figure out how to assemble a hamburger but the presentation was great. I'd much rather play this than a poorly programmed terrible looking game. Great job!
