Like the idea a lot. I was kinda confused about what was really happening with adding dice to stats in game though. Great work overall!

love the dice stats! Same points as the other people have mentioned :)

Nice idea of assigning dice to stats, but add some more UI so the player knows what's happening. also, make combat more user-controlled so it's more engaging, but that would've been a lot for the time given lol. all in all great game!

I really like the idea of assigning the dice to different stats before each battle. It would be more enjoyable if the UI was clearer and less finicky, maybe with arrows toggling between options rather than the mouse. The combination of drawn sprites and big CGI-esque background imagery actually makes for really interesting presentation.

Really like the way the concept was executed, and the gameplay is quite relaxing, especially paired with the nice choice of bg music. I think that there could've been more cohesion put into the UI/graphics: there were a lot of clashing styles and hard to read text because of the background. Other than that, I think this would make a great start to a more narrative-based game that I'd totally play^^ Great job!

Edit: Forgot to say, I think that the tutorial bit could be a little more concise/spread out. I pretty much skipped through it because I didn't want to read, but the game was pretty intuitive, so I think that it definitely can be condensed a bit

Actually pretty fun once I figured out how to play the game! Nice job, love the concept. Good luck :D

Sometimes had trouble figuring out what was going on, but I played through several rounds and thought the concept was neat. I felt like there was an interesting balance between the different stat trade-offs.

Really liked the concept, and the execution was very nice (even considering the time constraints). Of course some rebalances could be done in the future, but that doesn't hinder the experience. Nicely done! :)

Great vibe and creative concept choosing what stat to apply to each roll! I would appreciate a little more action, although I know this is supposed to be an RPG without it, maybe like a simple battle system that would give a little bit more control over the battle except the stats, but overall, really nice game, I really liked it!

Pretty fun - I like the art.

The game is pretty simple but quite cool. Liked the sound and feel of it but felt like it was missing a few quality of life changes that would help push it to the next level. Like an indicator of what dice was chosen for which stat and an short explanation of what each stat does on hover. But other than that it's a really cool idea that was really well executed

The gameplay is quite simple but effective! Adding more visuals would make things better! However, I enjoyed playing the game!

BEST OF LUCK:)

P.S. Check out our game too.

The simple gameplay is actually interesting and i spent a while trying to upgrade my character a little. the sword cursor was a good touch, but adding more feedback while selecting dice or buying stuff would make the game more engaging.

thanks for the review! There is audio feedback once you do anything. Did you play with audio on?

yes i was reffering to more visual feedback

First of all, i like how you made the cursor a sword :). Also, i really like the gameplay! its very simple and easy to get used to, but ive seen other games in this jam with similar gameplay. Although, i think the UI and backgrounds need a lot of work. The backgrounds kind of make the UI hard to see. Also, the UI is very inconsistent for me. I would just stick with one style, like with the main menu with the colored buttons. Another thing that needs some work is the tutorial, or the How to Play section. i noticed several typos around the tutorial, and i feel the tutorial is sort of overcomplicating things. Overall a game with a really good and even kind of addicting gameplay loop, but with visuals that need some more work.

Very unique game, but personally, I feel like this game could have benefited from a lot more polish and a more in depth tutorial. The gameplay itself was, in of itself, decently fun because of the need to optimize based on your luck as well as scaling the dice in different ways is interesting. However, I feel like I was pretty confused about a few mechanics in the game and also the volume of the game was too loud to me, and although its not made specifically for this game, I feel like a options menu would be very helpful.  Good luck on your submission though! -Sincerely, Henry_Hamster

I survived 8 rounds. Really simple and addicting loop. Thanks for that. Good job making an RPG and 48 hours. I would have liked a little more understanding of how the battles played out but a win is a win.  congratz.

Very interesting concept, i could see this mechanic being further developed into some kind of adventure game. For being so complex, it was really easy to get into and understand the core mechanics. The tutorial helped a lot as well.

The only feedback I have is that it would have been interesting with some random events that would spice things up.

Well done!
