I really like this game!! The visuals, the drawn enemies and the nice sound effects. I didn't quite understand why not all tiles necessarily have doors to connect to others, or is this a bug? It would be nice to have HP bars on all enemies. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to defeat the main boss after several replays. But I still really like the core mechanics of this game!! Keep it up!!!

And the design of this character is just perfect!!!! Love it

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comments and feedback, it's helping a lot!! Unfortunately it's a bug which I need to investigate! And for the hp of the enemies, they are here but don't show up, it's a bug too! All of this is going to be fixed post-jam!

I had a lot of fun with this game. Didn't feel too easy or too hard. And I think there's a lot of potential places to go to expand it out into a full game.

Developer

Thanks a lot! I plan to continue working on it after the jam!

As a roguelike lover, I'll say it's a good game. I beat it on the 3rd try. My tactic is called: coward for life. I avoided all battles and collected shields XD.

By the way, you forgot to check the "Loop" box in the audio source. The music is ending.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, avoiding the battles is the best tactic right now! Unfortunately, I realized after the deadline that I forgot to loop the audio but I fixed it for the post jam version!

A solid little game! Placing tiles and creating paths was a lot of fun! I was beaten by the boss at the end, but I got real close, so now I have to give it another go and see if I can clear it!

Developer

Thank you! Good luck with your fight against the boss, I'm sure you'll manage to defeat him!

I loved the gameplay, it made me want to play more than the time I gave myself for reviewing the games!

Its nice that you can choose how safe you want to play by putting the pieces together to avoid entering combat or just getting more powerful!

Also the art style is very cute! I never thought slimes with fangs would be that scary.

Developer

Thanks a lot for this feedback! It means a lot!

A really good game! The art is good and the game itself is really fun to play! Great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Really like games where you place dungeon tiles.  Nice work!

Developer

Thank you!

Amazing game 🙌 This is actually a really good base for a full game, maybe give the player the ability to choose which tile to start the puzzle, and make it mandatory that the player has to use every single tile he has before skipping to the next loop. But overall great work 👌

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I planned to continue to work on the game post-jam! And at the beginning the player had to use all the tiles to loop the dungeon, but it was too difficult sometimes to do so! But the idea of making the player choose his tile at the start can be interesting!

I won!
I lost two times at first, but all I had to do was to prioritize not fighting over fighting, which would be the smarter thing to do.

Developer

Congrats and thanks for the comment! Glad you persevered and defeated the final boss! And yeah, fighting is only worth in specific moments!

Nice idea! The game is well balanced and fun to play, great job :)

Cool game, it reminded me of Loop Hero :) Would love to see a fleshed out version of this

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yes, Loop Hero was one of my influences when I first started creating the game! And a more complete version is planned!

Reminds me of Blue Prince

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I didn't take inspiration from it during development, but it's true that it does look a bit like it!

Submitted(+1)

I didn't even noticed you can rotate tiles. I thought it was designed not to. Kinda more interesting without it

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Initially, I wanted to limit the rotation to 2 or 3 per loop, but I didn't have time to include it! But it will be done after the jam!

Submitted(+1)

This is a cool concept - would love to see this expanded after the jam!

Developer

Thanks! I plan to continue working on it post jam!

Cool! :)

Developer

Thank you!

This is surely something new and a really impressive submission to the Game Jam! Rated and appreciated!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot!

Really cool idea. being able to rotate the game really adds to the fun, a sort of tetris like saving quality to it. Couldn't defeat the boss.

Developer

Thanks! And yes, the boss is a pretty big difficulty spike! You have to be well prepared to beat it.

Submitted(+1)

Nice idea - I was struggling until I reread the tutorial and realised you could rotate the rooms!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The tutorial was added at the last minute, so it's a bit confusing and needs reworking!

Nice looking game!

The creature design is fun, as perfectly illustrated by Hee-Hoo's comment! XD
