Hm, good to know, I might have to look into that a bit more

We will! Thank you Oleksii :)

Thank you so much for this great amount of feedback!

Usually you should've been able to draw loops even when close to the castle, don't know what happened there. The loop detection, or rather the detection of enemies inside the loop, was a bit buggy, that's true. I relied a lot on Unity filling the drawn shapes with Polygon colliders, which doesn't work too well vor more complex shapes or irregular circles. Sadly, I didn't have the time to come up with a better solution, which would've probably been worth it in hindsight.

Thanks for playing our game, I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the bugs! :)

We initially intended to add more pencils, hence the switching controls. For only two pens, switching them on button press would've probably been a good solution. Thank you :)

Glad you liked our game!:)

I had been thinking about adding a health bar to the loop itself, so it would be more obvious how close to breaking it is. Maybe it would've felt fairer this way. Thanks for commenting!

Yup, I probably should've put more time into getting the loop detection right. Thanks for the feedback :)

Thanks!

Fun game! Love the lasso mechanic (no bias hehe), the game felt very polished and juicy. Played through it all in my second attempt. I felt like the difficulty curve was a bit flat; imo the first level started off quite difficult. Maybe the first type of bull should be stunned a little longer when dashing into something. The other bull types were fun, I wish they were just a little more varied visually, both colorwise and in circumference (if you know what I mean, I want a chunky boi lol).

Great game overall!

That's great feedback, thank you so much! Good point with the controls. We initially thought we could add more pencils, which is why we decided to go for the immersive switch controls. I agree that it's a bit stressful though :D

Thanks :)

Cute short platformer :) I'm not sure it fits the theme too well, since it's not really integrated into gameplay. The colored birds were a nice addition. It would've been good to learn about dismounting in the level before you actually introduce it.

Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks a lot for the kind words :)

We actually had a small discussion about whether it's better to allow the player to draw outside the canvas or not haha. Glad we decided to allow it. Thank you so much for the feedback! :))

Very cute and whimsical. It was fun trying to survive the demon etc., I only wish there was an actual end to the game after you've maxed out everything. Also, did the items & charms have any use? Good job overall!

Cute art :) quite the melancholic theme though... The music was fitting it well! :)

I heard drawing circles around enemies is a good mechanic hehehe

The game feel was great overall, just had some minor issues with the loop not being recognized sometimes (our game has the same problem lol). Loved the pixel art too! :)

(1 edit)

Insanely gorgeous ASCIII art, holy! And the game is so detailed, I loved all the monitoring as well. I'm not a big fan of the auto clicker genre, but you did well to introduce new things (and more importantly visuals!) all the time to keep players engaged. Also, I was glad there was an official end to this game. Reached it in 13m00s :)

Super cute pixel art! I also liked the twist on Snake, making it a tower defense-ish game. Great entry! :)

Cool game, it reminded me of Loop Hero :) Would love to see a fleshed out version of this

Great game, very responsive and a great pacing for introducing new features! I wish you had a bit more space on the board to move things around

I liked the idea of underworld characters working in an office!

Patiently waiting for Metal Man 4 - Meat over Magnet 😂

Artstyle, Audio and Gameplay was on point, nice one!

Would've loved to add even more pencils. Thank you! :)

Thanks Matthew!

Definitely! Thank you so much!

Thank you! :))

Totally understandable, considering there's so many animations. But oh boy, the higher resolution looks so good! The Tanuki makes for a great mascot haha

One of the best entries I've played yet, this is such an addictive game! And sooo much content for such a short jam, wow. Very well done, especially considering you were 4 strangers, crazy! ^-^

Would love to see this expanded even further :)

Great entry to the jam! Visually super pleasing, fun and surprisingly much content. Awesome twist on Snake. Some things weren't very intuitive, e.g. the shooting mechanic.

Overall an excellent game that I'd love to play more of :)

Gameplay felt very responsive and satisfying. Love the time loop mechanic in a survivors like, it lets you get really creative :)

Thanks :) We purposely held the scope low for this jam, but there were additional pencil types in our backlog, for example. With a little more time, we would've probably added some pen to freeze enemies, or burn them, etc.

Thanks a lot! DS would've been the ideal platform :D

Certified BANGER! Had an absolute blast, super fun and creative mechanic and just extremely addictive. Well done indeed!

Nice one! The game felt very responsive, I think it would do great on mobile :)

Cute art style and such a funny idea haha! Moving the furniture felt a bit unsatisfying, I think I would've enjoyed it more if you could just move them across other furniture. Or maybe a rotate function so you could make better use of the little space you have.

I would've wished for a few more levels, with an easier start and a slowly increasing difficulty, in order to make full use of the games mechanics. Solid game! :)

Great idea, unfortunately didn't make it past the goose stage though. It felt really punishing to go back to worm stage, especially because there wasn't really anything you could do better  in order to get back to where you were faster. Both the fish and goose level felt a bit unfair in terms of difficulty

Would've loved to get to the other stages as well! Overall a good job though, especially on the beautiful artwork! :)

Really fun little game, first beat em up I played this jam, so thats refreshing! I also loved that you added hit stop, that's a detail many people miss when making fighting games :) Also, I liked the art style, although there were some inconsistencies in resolution. I think it would've been cool if the 2D sprites had a higher resolution, more like in Street Fighter 2.

Great job overall! ^-^

Definitely a nice twist on Snake. It felt more satisfying to see the line of trash grow behind you in 3D, compared to Snake :)

Thanks! Mobile would be great, especially on Switch or 3DS right? haha

Very creative idea, I liked that a lot! Unfortunately, the gameplay itself was not too enjoyable for me. I think it's mainly because it would take me a few more levels to really get a hang of a newly introduced mechanic, so I found it quite difficult to unlock a new mechanic every level. Also, I felt like the locking (middle mouse / backspace) was a bit unintuitive, or I didn't really understand the timing on this.

But overall, I loved the visuals and the idea a lot, it's really charming! :)
