This concept is presented really well. The environment and music sets a great mood and all the possible ingredients lead to a lot of funny sandwich combinations.

I don't want to "pile on", but I agree with some of the other comments about the spawning in the ingredients. I could mostly click in one place, and there was a bit of difference depending on how quickly or slowly I clicked, but it still didn't feel like I had a lot of control over how successful the sandwiches were. Also, the rent prices scale up pretty quickly, so I think 9 days was my longest run.

Overall, it was a fun take on the theme and a lot of potential as an idea.

Thanks for the fantastic feedback. I don't think it's negative at all; it's super constructive.

Yeah, there are a few things, like the control scheme, that would have benefited from more play testing. I think the Enter key is just the default key to interact with buttons, but I should have made it close with E as well. And yeah, the controls should at least be on the main menu.

My initial plan was to have the info show up after you took a photo, and you'd see how many of the total statues you've collected. That would at least give some motivation to find the others, even if it's not a terribly deep experience. I also wanted to add a lot more stuff to the world, to add some environmental storytelling, but the time got away from me.

Thanks again for the feedback!

The atmosphere created by the art and the music is fantastic. I like all of the character designs, and the details like the fish merchants eyes blinking independently.

Really good character animations. The randomized weapon and shooting only while standing gave the game a fun, frantic energy.

Really fun art, bordering on chaotic (in a good way), especially in later levels. Engaging gameplay loop.

Interesting use of the theme. Creative, albeit challenging controls. Enjoyable fourth-wall breaking, though it was tricky to read and play at the same time. Still not sure what our character was exactly; it was cute though. Overall, well polished with a cool art style and good sound effects and music.

Clever concept for a puzzle game and good use of the theme. I liked the variety of levels and the extra challenge of eliminating the enemies. Enjoyed the retro visuals, music and sound effects.

Fun to control. The level layout made the game challenging in a good way. Good sound track and aesthetic.

I think the randomness of the locations and paths make sense with the theme; I wonder if you were shown where the spider starts, but can't see where it moves, then there would be more strategy to the movement, e.g. a risk / reward for moving along certain paths with only one exit.

Cohesive and pleasant visuals. The art and animation are pleasant enough to make me forget I'm not a huge fan of spiders.
