Adorable little game. Art is great and the mechanics are fun. Also a fun dialog in the beginning and great sound.

A solid jam entry. Well done

Hey gang, saw your post in the discord & am I glad I did. This is very cute! One thing is you might make it more clear what you can pick up, just because at the very start when it was die by fire, I wasn't expecting to pick up the whole chimney cannon & I thought it was a glitch at first haha. Congrats on a great jam!

Developer

Thank you for playing and your suggestion!! That's something we have to work on!

I do enjoy the aspect that you can use move the obstacles to progress, that was unexpected. One thing I'd suggest you look into is the movement however. I don't really know what could cause it but when you go down from a tile you just plummet into the ground at mach 3 speed, I don't know if it was an intended game mechanic but it makes the movement very jittery and floaty. Apart from that you got a nice concept with a cute narrative that I believe would make for a nice cozy game if expanded upon

Developer

Thank you for feedback and encouragement!! We didn't notice this bug so it's not an intended game mechanic. We'll look into it!!

Haha, this is very cute, and our game use the same mechanic also!

Developer

ohh thank you for playing our game, I'll try yours too!!

Charming! I love your sense of humor and creativity.

I've played a couple of games that utilize this mechanic of using previous dead bodies as platforms, but I think you've presented it in a very logical way. I also love the art style, but it's a little inconsistent in some parts. For example, the pipe that spits out fire disconnects from the platform when it bulges and changes size, and the platform's art overlaps in some parts.

This submission is really funny and enjoyable to play - great work :) Good luck with your submission!

Developer

Thank you so muchh. It means a lot to us!! Also thank you for bringing up the fire pipe. I didn't aware of the issue before.

Pebble is adoooorable. I love him. Overall, really cute and fun! I love everything, but the graphics and the audio in particular stand out a lot.

Thank you so muchhhh

The mechanic of using your bodies from past tries to navigate the level is very cool and fits the theme in a neat way, although given that they can also block your path, it would be nice to have an easier way to reset them that doesn't involve going through the opening cutscene every time. Super cute graphics, I would have kept playing for longer if I didn't get stuck at the jump where I turn into an ice cube and have to keep resetting to try to get past my own corpse.

Developer

Omg I totally forgot to turn off the opening dialogue for retries! It's supposed to only play one time at the start!! Thank you for bringing it up.  For the ice cube, you can move the fountain if it might helps you. If not, restarting is the best option, which would make you go through the dialogue again xD

The visuals and tone are all super fun! The gameplay is a stark contrast to the tone as the best way to complete the level is to make a pile of corpses until you reach the end. Reminds me of UFO 51- Mortol. I'd make the "loop" mechanic less graphic unless you're going for that "gurokawa" tone. Besides that, I'd love to see the mechanics expanded upon.

Developer

We're going for something like that I guess. We love mixing contrast elements in a fun and a little ironic way. Thank you for playing!!

I love the concept, and the graphics are cute! I didn't know I had to press enter in the beginning so maybe allow for clicks there. Overall a great cute game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I forgot to add mouse click for story progression. My bad!!

Submitted(+3)

Cute game! I almost soft locked myself by creating dead otter bodies at the start but then i realized i could make a pile of bodies straight to the bus stop! This has good potential!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!!!

Great Game! Like the art style. I really like the idea that if you die in different ways, your body has different abilities. Sets this game apart from other games with similar mechanics.

Developer

adding different abilities to the bodies tired us pretty much. thank you for appreciating it!!

I liked your game! I had some trouble with with the physics, but the narrative was fun, and the art style is great!

Developer
