Absolutely amazing puzzle game! The effects really sell off the illusion of an old monitor and i love the way that its slightly curved to the edges like a fish eye kens, the controls are also pretty satisfying with all the sound effects and stuff. Artstyle also really consistent and really not much i can say bad about this game, the only thing i feel like i guess i noticed was how the game kind of starting feeling like "collect every special item in this room" and you pass the level, that could just be me though, anyways amazing game! definitely one of the best early ones ive rated thus far

Developer

Thank you so much! We definitely planned to have more levels that would not just be a collect-a-thon but as you probably could guess, time got in the way :). Your game was also one of my personal favs, best of luck! <3

Wow, mind-blowingly amazing!  Great job!

Good difficult game, I really like the popups and the art style.

Very fun game with good looking visual, the pop-up add a lot of humor and the thematic of the game. I really liked it :)

Developer

At one point we had the popups appearing after every loop but it actually became unironically frustrating 😭

Such a polished and fun little puzzle game! Loved the coding references/retro computer humour and imagery, and the ending was awesome and cute. Truly a 10/10 as far as game jam games.

Developer

THANKS! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed it, and I'm stoked that someone actually made it to the end!

Cool interpretation of the theme! The little details and popup windows and stuff are all really cool and build up a nice vibe around the game.

Very clever, Im enjoying it

This is insanely impressive for four days of work. The art, effects, and sound are all great and the concept and puzzles are really well implemented. Amazing game!

Developer(+1)

this is so sweet thank you! the rest of the team kinda just gave me free rein on all the art and music so I had a blast working on that 😁

Neat game idea, with the looping thing!

6/7

Wow what an amazing game! I absolutely loved the level design and the uniqueness of having your person have to go through the same area over and over again. Getting the last loop's route wrong was a little unforgiving in that you'd have to redo all the guy's routes but it was an amazing experience!

I love this! the art, the puzzles, they're so fun. Love the Game and the concept!

What an incredible game, the art style and story are particular standouts, love the pop ups and little side windows that appear throughout the game. The mechanics were all well thought of and the puzzles were very satisfying to figure out.  As computing nerds ourselves, this theme for the game was really fun and we hope to see more games like this in the future! Congratulations!!

Developer

omg thank you so much!! I definitely had a lot of fun designing the pop ups, I think my teammates can confirm that I was giggling on call the whole time LOL

This game is super charming! I love how everything looks and the puzzles are very fun! Was a bit confusing at first but it is okay!

Great Art! Puzzles are super fun and everything is really impressive for the jam.
Takes a little to figure out, but once you get it, it's great!

This game is just amazing, cutscenes, dialogues, great puzzles, great sound effects. Incredible job! I love it! The only quirk is, just like someone else said, I find that it introduces things too fast and I have to  understand what is happening, but that is understandable for the time we had.

Developer

Thanks! I think our difficulty scaling was a tad off too. Maybe we should add another stage to really let the player practice with the clone mechanic :0

How did you manage to create a game this polished and good in such a short time? Amazing. Some screen resolutions might crop the text at the bottom during the tutorial, but it works fine without fullscreen. I'm stunned towards the quality of visuals, polish and how things tie to each other synchronously

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The secret sauce is copious amounts of black tea and vigorous cutting of scope on day 2 :)

I love the shaders and effects (vfx / sfx) you putted in the game, I'm not a huge fan of puzzle game but I enjoyed doing several levels because of naraitive ! Congratulation !

We went for very similar art style, I love your boot up tho!

Love the concept, but unfortunately it introduces the game mechanics way too quickly, so its very hard to get into. The Levels are confusing and cluttered, and it's hard to understand the underlying puzzle behind it.

Developer

Yeah if we had the time we definitely would've introduce some intermediate levels to fully flesh out the concepts. But tis the nature of game jams I suppose!
