Thank you for the response! I agree that the story with moving around in a space would be a good idea. It was on the list early in development but I had to scrap it due to time constraints. I might reintroduce it if I continue development on the game, but I also quite like the novel like aspect of the product as it is. Either way, thank you for taking the time to comment your lovely words about Cabin Fever!

I loved hearing the voice talking to me but the idea of abilities on count downs that you can't control was quite interesting! I didn't like that there was a lot of down time with nothing to do but dodge, so maybe having an ability that doesn't do a lot of damage but has a short count down would be nice to have. Excellent idea and I'd love to see it developed more!

Thank you for the fanart! I was not expecting fanart already... I love the style you went for and how it fits into the image well! Great job!

Thank you for the comment! I appreciate hearing about the rich narrative, and it's good to know the warning was appropriate to be included.

Unique idea that runs quite smoothly!

I quite enjoyed the gameplay aspects! I found it very fun to explore the effects of each button and figuring out the best strategy forward.

Thank you for playing through the game!
I appreciate looking out for the typos. I unfortunately didn't get the time to do as much QA checking as I would've liked. It makes me happy that you made it far enough to find those typos in the later chapters :)

I immediately hit the blow up button on my first run. Whoops! It was a fun experience. I liked the art design overall, and the voicing was nice.

Thank you for the rating! There was an idea early on to make it more point-and-click, but due to scope, I had to abandon the idea. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the survival story aspect.

Thank you for taking the time to review my game in such an elaborate way.

I made a visual novel for this game jam specifically to gain experience in skills that I wasn't good at doing before. A visual novel covered a lot of those skills, including creating art, sound design, story writing, and dialogue writing. I understand that it might not find the best audience in this game jam.

A few of the issues you noted in the beginning were due to using a package I hadn't used before. The dialogue was presented using Yarn Spinner in Unity. I was unable to figure out how to edit the font choice for options specifically, which is why the font didn't match up at the beginning. I also tried making the input the same for both progressing dialogue and selecting a choice, something that bothered me greatly during testing, but I could not figure out how to accomplish this.

You made a good point about not setting the volume to max. I added those sliders within the last hour or two before submissions closed because I was worried about messing up the audio mixing and wanted to ensure players had the option to change it if needed. In the future I'll be making sure to default them around 70% like you mentioned.

I've also since fixed the issue with the two full screen buttons on the page and I'm looking into the aspect ratio that itch presents the game in.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to review Cabin Fever!

My boss didn't like that I hung up on him :( I loved seeing the scores already on the leaderboard as well! Having something to compete against, was fun!

Glungus... I'm sorry....

I had fun getting every upgrade!

This game was awesome! The art was smooth, the gameplay was genuinely fun and original. The ticking down audio was also well done and connected back to the theme. Keep up the amazing work!

Great start for the idea! Had fun chopping down many trees.

Loved the art and vibe this game had! The final cutscenes were funny, how mimi had to keep finding reasons to make us plug her phone in. That last level was difficult!

Loved the visuals and the music! Very challenging when you fall, seemed there were more cool visuals the higher you go, but I could never make it high enough. The countdown was also implemented well! Fast paced!

I liked the game and how it played on the theme! I had a lot of fun with the gameplay loop.

Absolutely loved the gameplay! The planet being slightly difficult to keep track of in respect to which direction it would go when you hit up or down was really interesting to play with in regards to the orbit! I loved the noise it made whenever I collected another asteroid as well. Great game!

Wow what an amazing game! I absolutely loved the level design and the uniqueness of having your person have to go through the same area over and over again. Getting the last loop's route wrong was a little unforgiving in that you'd have to redo all the guy's routes but it was an amazing experience!

Absolutely loved the little Loopis in this game! Did a great job at encorporating the theme into the overall product. Would love to see more Loopi antics!

I got to around 450 before I had to stop! The movement was definitely unique and I feel like it led to a good kind of frustration trying to improve my movements and time my moves with the swings. Really led to a fun experience good job!

I loved the different levels of the game and how it all came to a head at the end! The character models were also quite cute :)

Great job! Very sweet and lovely with a hint of comedy. Uplifting message!

Unsure exactly what you mean by no performance but the game runs pretty good for me! If you're able to, keep going till the end!

I'll come back to paly yours within the day! Thank you!

Amazing little game! I loved the gameplay loop, it got a bit difficult at times but that's part of the fun! I also noticed a few bugs, like if you ignore the message to eat something yourself, it'll flip as you move. No bugs that distracted from being able to fully enjoy the game though! Loved it!

Going to play your game right now!

Here you go! I'll try and check out your game too!

That game had me stressed by the end lol! The minigames were a lot of fun and the graphics breaking down as time went on was really fun. Wish the pizza minigame was a little bit longer so that your art could be appreciated a bit more, loved the whole game!

Rated your game had a blast!

This game was astonishing, the level of detail to each aspect and how you made so many things work well for you was great. I loved the story as well! Amazing job!

A nice little zombie shooter that works well for what it is. The pause menu didn't cover the full screen though. Overall I really enjoyed playing, I only got to raid 5 before the zombies snuck up behind me lol

This game felt so polished and well done I have trouble believing it was done in 4 days! Absolutely splendid work, my favorite looking game I've played so far. My only critique is that it's too short! I need more cat antics!

Loved the atmosphere of the game as well as the look, I'm sure it could be something awesome! Plenty of time before the next game jam to fix it up!

Mine has pixel art as well! Though it was pretty rough at times, first attempt at most of this kind of stuff under such a crunch.

Absolutely loved this as a concept and the gameplay loop was addicting, the controls felt amazing it felt all around extremely polished. I'd love to see some more content for the game, perhaps different upgrades as time went on to better deal with the hordes of enemies, but it was an amazing play! Great job!!
