Genuinely scared the crap out of me, absolutely fantastic experience! Absolutely love the presentation style of sitting at the computer in the eerie darkness, and the emails were equally hilarious and intriguing. Definitely bookmarking to come back and try to get a different outcome, amazing work!

Glad you like it. I hope you will like the other ending too (: After the jam we are going to work on it further.

Interesting idea with a cool atmosphere.  I had a glitch or something where in the second pass, emails that I responded to the first time didn't have response buttons to click on the next time.

Developer

Yes, it broke last second unfortunately. We noticed it after putting up the build. Thank you so much for playing.

The story was very interesting and kept me hooked! Really liked the vibes and the little references in the spam! Good job!

Developer

Thank u, glad you like it! (:

Wow, this was incredibly well done, great job! The atmosphere you created felt incredible and I was so immersed in the gameplay with the audio and art. The narration and writing was also great with the humor spread around (I'm looking at you Market Plier)> Overall, one of the best games I've seen this jam!

Developer

It's so funny how everyone loves the Market Pliers joke. I didn't expect that one to be the most popular. Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Interesting little game! I thought you struck a nice balance of humor and intrigue, though the spam mails did start to get somewhat tedious. At some point I kinda felt like I was sitting around waiting for something to happen. Maybe introducing some secondary activity for the player to juggle so they have not only something to keep them busy, but then a bigger time pressure on the emails, could help to build the tension.

Developer

Uhh, yeah I think you're right about the emails, adding more paths should fix that. Thank you for playing.

Great atmosphere, and definitely one of the most creative entries out there!

Developer

Thank you so much.

The emails were popping up too fast for a non-native English speaker... but what I did understand was pretty funny! The general vibe is perfect.

Developer

Yeah first playthrough is pretty overwhelming, that is kind of intended, though. Thank you for playing.

Welp. Definitely died. Still, I had such a great time playing this!!

Developer(+1)

That's okay, you're supposed to die a couple times before beating it. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Nice graphics for 1989

Developer

State of the art OS for the time.

The vibes here were immaculate; I laughed so hard at so many of the lines but the rip bozo reply got me the most.  I would easily buy this if it were a full game, I was invested in the story immediately.  One of my jam standouts for sure!

Developer

Thank you so much, it's so good to hear all this positive feedback. Yes, we were thinking of finishing the game after the jam. It's great to see people interested in it.

So far this game is my favorite GMTK Jam submission. The writing is excellent, so many twist and surprises! 10/10 would play again!

The atmosphere and narrative of the game is actually superb. Reading these spam mails are so much fun, and then I see that one mail and the screen goes dark... what an experience. Great job!!

Developer

Thank u! Glad you like it <3

Genuinely was getting so spooked while playing it, I couldn't even make it to 6am. The narrative and storywriting is phenomenal and so immersive

Developer

Honestly, the game turned out to be relatively difficult. Fortunately, you don't have to make it to 6, it depends on how you progress through the story.
