such a cool game! and the artwork is amazing. a bit unforgiving as I got all the way to the fish part and a big fish came at me at mach 10 and I had to start all the way over lol but still fun! I loved the variety
thank you for your time
What a great concept. Loved the frog!
Thank you) especially for the frog
I got hooked fast! Had so much fun playing your game! Clever concept and love the change in gameplay styles. The frog part was one of my favorites. Awesome job!
Thanks — the other programmer and I were arguing about the frog’s replayability, so thank you for defending my honor 😊
Cool idea. The controls felt a little… stiff(?) in some cases but I had fun playing and it looked and sounded nice.
Thank you for your time
Wow! You did a lot for 4 days! It was really fun to play. Thank you and congratulations!
Our team tried very hard, thank you
Very cool game!
You really have a lot of variety in terms of game mechanics. Very difficult to pull off so well during a jam!
Well done!
Thank you)
Nature's brutality never looked so good!
Yes, we tried to convey all of that through cute imagery
This is so great! The art is fantastic and I love the loading wheel. My favourite is the frog level. I got some combos in there :) Very fun. Nice use of theme and great game.
Thanks for appreciating the froggy
I love the art style! And it's very cool how each animal has different gameplay. It's a little frustrating to work your way back up through each one. Maybe if they were shorter after the first time?
Unfortunately, during the build stage, it seemed to us that the game would be easy enough to complete and didn’t need any gameplay simplification. But now we’ve come to the conclusion that it would have been a great decision.
i was a big fan of the whackamole x)
:) thank you
Lots of fun little mini games, good concept and lovely art.
Yes, the artists really did their best, thank you.
There is an insane amount of content here - almost a little too much for a jam experience, where people look through hundreds of games. Perhaps shortening the cycle to just "worm>frog>bird" and focussing more on the mechanics of each one would improve the overall experience by making a playthrough feel a bit more rounded - pun intended. What's here looks solid, if a little bare bones.
I do enjoy the visuals and the fact there is variety in styles. Especially the worm level looks sleek with the tunnels cutting through the level.
Appreciate the feedback. Thank you, yes, we probably have overscoped but we really wanted to create a big looping cycle through various minigames, and also send a message with the ending. Definitely need more time, especially with the difficulty of the fish haha
We try to aim for a little less than 5 minutes of gameplay to make sure everyone makes it to one full play-through.
Running the game with some friends of varying "gamer ranks" a day before deadline helps a ton to get a feel for what is unclear and whether people will finish the playthrough in time. (On that note, I appreciate that your game provided in-game tutorials that present one piece of info at a time)
Oh yes life is an endless loop of predators eating each other. The game reminded me that i've spent too much time in those .io game where people were eating each other.
As reference material for the artists for the worm, I sent them a screenshot from Slither.io
the game art and theme are so beautiful, the game is fun , I replayed it a few times. N1!
We are very glad that you liked it
Ended up ragequitting after being eaten alive by fife fishes everytime I became one... Somewhat slow Zuma level, otherwise 10/10 would recommend to peacefully internally scream.
(kidding the game's concept is pretty good. I did ragequit though)
We are so sorry 😭we did NOT expect the fish to be this strong haha, but appreciate you playing it. Surely we had to work on the balancing and difficulty
this was really cool game experience! All the art and minigames were great
Thank you for your time
I got eaten... Good idea to have the game be minigames!
I hope you liked it)
It was very charming to control each type of animal, and having each gameplay being representative of the animal (loved playing Zuma again after a long time x3)
Thank you for your nice review
I was really impressed by how this game is a combination of multiple games. What surprised me the most was the replayability of this game. Artwork was really good too!
oh, it’s so nice to hear that you enjoyed the variety in the game
each mini-game had its qwn artist, glad you like the art
thank you!
I was not expecting that frog haha! Really cool game, i wasn't sure where the loop aspect came into play until i died on the fish level which made me sad :( lol Interesting and very creative game. Good job!
Thank you for the feedback, a detail we added if you did or did not notice, when you die, then when you become the worm again, you appear in the the skeleton of the animal you previosuly died :)
Oh that's so cool! I never noticed that! :O
