Cool idea for a management sim. While these types of games aren't for me, I do have to commend you for the end result. It looks really nice. The tutorial was very helpful. I would suggest giving a clearer indication when you gain a resource though. I didn't see that at first.

the game has a yearly loop, with each season providing different goals

I think I could write an essay on why this is a showcase of brilliant game design.
The artstyle is simple yet beautiful thanks to that wonderful color palette, the sounds are just right and make any action feel very satisfying, the waay you made a natural gameplay loop with just a few mechanics tied to the seasons is genius and the battles are well balanced and the fact that you NEED both builders and fighters makes them high-stakes and interesting.
Brilliant game.
This is a really good game. Art is cute and the game play is well balanced. Survived 4 years.
Cool game! Feels like the start of a StarCraft match or something. Would love to see the progression ramp up a little faster at the start, but the sound effects and animations keep it interesting. Really nice jam submission!
so peaceful... my little guys with their little tasks... then the winter men arrive
10/10
Nice thinking about each thing role in different year , i really like the concept much
Nice work, this is very impressive for a jam timeline in my opinion. The game is definitely hard, but I think given how little time we had to playtest you did a good job balancing. There are a lot of small details here that just make the game more fun to play. I think you did a great job managing your time.
Very cozy and nice game. The difficulty curve is way too high tho, I died unfortunately and restarting a run is a bit frustrating if you already invested a lot of time. I appreciate that the game has instantly a volume slider and that it does not blast my ears. Very good sfx design and overall the gameplay loop is quite simple but fun. What was not that intuitive is how I could deselect a crop again, I accidentially selected it and planted one crop at the very bottom of my tile in the early years which was quite annoying.
I wish there was some music next to the ambience. And with the tutorial I feel like time should not progress while you are reading. The first time i took my time and it well, literally cost me a lot of ingame time already. So I would freeze time there for sure.
Good game.
Ah no worries. There are so many ifs and whens, its still a great game, especially for a jam. I looked at it with that in mind. The feedback is just overall my thoughts, hope it might help you improve your future games or to work out some kinks of this game if you wanna update it a bit after the jam.
That’s a 10/10 game. I spent more time playing it that I’d like to admit xD
The enemies are a bit too strong, but it makes the gameplay hard and fun. You send all of your guys to the battle, repair and gathering wood for the repair and manage to beat the wave with like 1 wall durability to spare
The sounds design is great, the art palette and style is amazing, the details are really nice(the trees! the different tools! the stages of growth for crops!) the whole game looks like a nicely done indie game. Huge well done to the author, will probably play it even more, it’s super addictive
I really like it! I feel like management games are quite tough to pull off in a jam, but this is very well crafted and fun! The art is cute and the progression/balance works quite well, great work!
Super complete game for a 96h-hour jam, and quite fun to play. One thing I would have liked is a health-bar on the enemies, so I know wether my defenders will kill them in time or the wall will break first.
