How does your game fit the theme?
We had the player control two different characters of different scales: one a tiny mouse, rummaging around a cabinet, and the other a normal sized human. The player is switching back and forth between two different sizes/gameplay.

Great little cozy game! The art and music are very nice and I didn't have much difficulty understanding what to do. I particularly liked the melting minigame. All the pieces are in place -- I maybe wanted it to be a bit bigger, but realistically, it's plenty for a game jam. There are endless ways this concept can be expanded, so would love to see more in future. Nice job, was lots of fun :D
Very cute, with a lot of scaleability if you plan on expanding further! Lovely artwork, and the gameplay loop was very concise. Unfortunately a lot of my ingredients would disappear into thin air :( I haven’t seen this concept done before, and while it was a bit tenuous in regards to the theme, I had a lot of fun while I played :)
Love the art and presentation. Though I don’t get the scale theme. You as a human just place stuff in UI and the mouse just moves around nothing really to contrast or interlink the sections, you can just put any explanation for the two sections not sure how size comes into play.
At first I was having problem on understanding what to do as first, maybe some more UI for helping to understand it could help. The art is super cool!
This was a cute game with cute art, but it was a bit difficult to figure out what I was supposed to do at first, and the melting in particular was really unintuitive and a bit tedious. I also really wish there was any feedback at all when you complete a potion. I really thought for a bit that the game would go on forever, and was a bit surprised when it ended. Some more context for why you're making these potions would have gone a long way, I think, especially since you had the cute little intro cards at the beginning where you could tell that story! I love potion making games and the concept really is very cozy and cute, so I hope you expand this into a fuller game in the future.
Neat concept, might just be a me thing but felt a bit awkward to swap between the control schemes as I had to swap my right hand between the arrow keys and mouse constantly, also did not enjoy the melting mini-game. Otherwise I thought it was cute and the art style was nice!
Apologies! I don't think we clarified that the WASD keys were usable for movement as well. We incorrectly assumed it would be implied!
Let us know if you're having issues with using WASD though, that would definitely be a bug
Cute little game with nice controls, a unique switching concept, and nice art style! The one minute complaint is sometimes the screens are a touch busy but honestly its so small and an inconsequential with a 96 hour dev time. Great work!
Nice idea for the scaling concept of using two different characters at different scale size and with different gameplay. I was confused on the first play on what to actually do but I enjoyed it. Might need a few more changes on the UI to make it easier to understand. Good job on the game!
I loved the underlying concept this game had! I feel like it could make a great game if expanded upon and playtested a bit more. Unfortunately I think the game was pretty unintuitive — I genuinely enjoyed playing through on stream with additional instructions in the chat, but I think it probably would have been something I would have put down early-on otherwise (b/c I was confused as to what to do, what was a bug vs. a feature, what the controls were exactly, etc.). The art (particularly of the intro illustrations and the mouse) and general conceptual design were super thoughtfully done though, so kudos to you on that! Looking forward to see what else y'all make in the future :)
Thank you, Jaylus, for playing our game and for your feedback! We watched your stream and had not seen your issue(s) occur before. We plan to upload some fixes to address these and other issues brought to our attention after the Game Jam.
It's pretty hard to understand what's in the foreground and what's in the background in the mouse part of the game, and I didn't really understand what the potion were for (I was expecting something to happen in the level?).
Understandable.
The potions are simply the goal. Once you complete all 5, that's the end game in the current state of the game.
Unfortunately, we neglected to convey that in game
It's really cute and fun, I love potion-type games dearly, so this was really fun! I loved all the different ways to prepare the ingredients, I only wish there was more variety to the play as the mouse. I felt like I could pick up an excess of items in one go and not really need to switch back. Great start to a game, I'd love to see more of it!
The art style is kind of charming. I also appreciate that there are volume controls, was a good first impression.
Cute game! I love the concept of combining different genres together. Doing small platforming and then switching to potion making was a pretty smooth transition and fun.
Another mouse game! I had a blast playing this. Shifting perspectives from collecting to mixing was super fun and reminded me of Potion Craft
Nice short game! On my first play, I didn't know how to use the chopping and grounding UI, since for some reason the first time the keyboard buttons indicator didn't pop up, so i just keep putting things to melt, and after beating the level I realized it never asked for some combination of ingredients, molten extract for example, although it was implemented with custom sprites and all, I assume some got cut off due to time constraints, same happened to us. If you continue to work on this game it definitely has room to grow in terms of how many combinations you can make. Great job!
We unfortunately had to cut out the 4th work station which added extract infused items.
Glad you like it!
This seems inspired by the alchemist game that went pretty well on Steam (can't remember the name). I think it doesn't fit really well with the theme, but still a pretty a good game!

I don't think we took inspiration from it, but it would be great to know what that game!
Glad you enjoyed it nonetheless!
Potion Craft. Not really for the gameplay. More for the general setting of the game (alchemy, potion brewing, ingredients etc...)
Very nice little game! I really like the wizard's face xD It would have been really cool with a bit more interaction between the mouse and the wizard to make the potions!
Charming game! It was definitely a break from other games out there, although I would've liked it if burner system aligned with the relaxation aspect, and you could just place the ingredients in one section. Great work!
