How does your game fit the theme?
We had the player control two different characters of different scales: one a tiny mouse, rummaging around a cabinet, and the other a normal sized human. The player is switching back and forth between two different sizes/gameplay.

The game gets repetitive after you gather a few pages of ingredients, but I love the game's art. Great job on your game!

This game looks really nice. I wish I could full screen it on Itch to get a better look at the art.

Loved the game! The mouse part was a bit difficult to navigate at first as some things looked like backgrounds, but once you understood the space all well. The potion part looked really nice, only problem were the heaters, I tried putting the metal on top many times until by accident I realized you needed to put it on top. Reminded me of Battle Chef Brigade, love that game. Nice work.

Really clever idea! I like the time management idea being able to switch back to Squeaker when things are cooking but it feels like cooking is just waayyyyy too slow, like that is what I am waiting for most of the time. I think this would be more fun if instead of pressing the buttons repeatedly to mash/cut the ingredients, they could also have timers with constant sound effects (like a repeated chopping, mashing or bubbling sound) and when the sound effects stop, it means that ingredient using that tool is finished which is info that can be gathered during the Squeaker gameplay despite not having the potion setup on screen, or have a bar for these things for the Squeaker gameplay in to the corner. That way it leans further into the time management idea that you scratch the surface of which I think would be really cool to see. You could also add a timer so people can compare scores. I can definitely see this being expanded upon, love the art and animations, great job!

This is such a cute and unique game. I feel like the gamplay is a little lopsided in favor of the alchemist, maybe that's intentional, but it would be fun for the familiar to have some little minigames to do as well! Great Job!

cute game, pretty fun, i feel like adding some form of mechanic where each potion done affects the rat in some way(for example making them grow) would have made the game fit the theme better

not sure why the heater thing hat five stones that alternated being on or off

The transition of music from mouse to human is really epic! I think this is a really good proof of the concept that could be expanded to a larger game! Well done!!

I really liked the art in the game, the drawings at the start, and also those in the gameplay. What program did you use to achieve that? It’s really beautiful! One detail that I thought was really cool is when you switch from the mouse’s ingredient-searching interface to the potion-preparation interface. The music is also great, like something out of a Harry Potter book. Great job! Greetings!

Interesting direction with the theme but would have liked to see it explored a bit more. Cute game, had a good time playing through it.

Art and music is great, the overall design of the gameplay not so much. If the artist and musician teamed up with a competent game designer they could make something fantastic!

Heya! I did both the game design and the music myself, glad you liked at least one of them :D We ran out of time to do QOL and polish (given that we basically had to make two games in one). Thanks for playing

It's a bit repetitive, but really cute. Congratulations for doing all the graphics and music by yourselves !

Such a cute game! Would be nice to have some lore though, I want to know more about the characters haha

Circled back to this one today - what a treat! so cool that every asset and the contained gameplay loops were made in only 96 hours. great job!

Interesting idea, I liked the aesthetic. Gameplay could do with a bit more spice but overall a solid project!

This was a really cute game, I liked having to scurry around to get the ingredients I needed, along with following the recipes like your classic cooking game. Keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

So cute! I also liked that you sometimes need to process some ingredients instead of just pick them up

Fun game, did get a bit repetitive after a while since nothing really changed. Otherwise fun idea
