It's fun to experiment with different vehicles! Would be cool to see more objects being added.
I beat all of the levels, but I don't think I beat any of them the "right" way. The first level I beat with a single wheel, and that was the only one that I completed without breaking the game.
I discovered a bug where a single battery connected to a plank would power all wheels, even if those wheels aren't connected to anything. So I exploited the hell out of that to complete levels by spamming crazy amounts of self-propelling wheels.
I had a lot of fun while breaking your game, though.
Being honest, I left that "bug" in partly due to the time limit, but also because I thought it added to the games fun. And as for doing it the "right" way, there really is no intended way, unless you beat the game like my friend did and somehow launch wheels through the ground lol.
Oh, I did. I never would have beat level 4 if the wheels didn't start clipping through the ground.
I could not clear the second stage but it was funny seeing some of the attempts move in all the wrong ways, i think it has potential
I had way too much fun with that for the wrong reasons :D
I kept breaking every level by creating a giant wheel explosion and waiting for one of them to hit the flag :D
Really impressive work with the building system though, and good levels too!
That was fun! I am impressed that you managed to built this in such a short time.
This is an interesting take on the theme, as well as the build style game. I enjoyed building, though I wish that when I switched between play and build it reset my build so I could continue working on it. The reset button resetting the whole thing was a bummer. I couldn't figure out the rotation buttons either, they didn't appear to do anything for me.
I agree with what others have said though, connecting things is intuitive and rather easy. Well done overall!
I really enjoyed the concept, but in practice I struggled with it.
It felt into the pitfall of tutorialization, where you want to keep minimal to avoid overloading the player with information (unless of course the player is ready with the expectation of having to learn a lot up front).
But most of my machines kept falling apart and that was a bit of a downer. So some tutorial on how to have your pieces connect properly and some proper feedback on when a part is connected would've made it an enjoyable experience. I got through the second level by my car falling apart and my front wheel taking off on its own to the finish line.
Also the music start getting grating after a time, which is why I didn't bother sticking around to learn the ropes on my own. I'd suggest putting some ambient soundscape instead. Though I say this as someone who turns off music in a lot of the games I play.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to keep the soundscape idea in mind for my next game
connecting things is rather intuitive, and also the volume control falls of exponentially rather than linearly, but otherwise, it was fun!
it was hard to understand at first, then i started to do random things until i figured it out. love the design !!
Really great idea and had a decent amount of fun, I did struggle to get things to connect to each other though, I could connect one wheel to wood but the second wheel was a struggle at times. I also wish the camera was closer so I could see what was happening with my vehicle. The game was fun though and I think you did a great job with the system design in the timespan we had. Great Job
I loved the idea of building my little vehicle, but I didn't end up making anything too functional. Might require more time to figure it out.
really great!! def reminds me of some older flash games
Cool game :) , i don't imagine how hard it must have been to build the system.
I didn't manage to connect the battery to the wheel how do i do it ? With the plank ?
At one time it seem to be powered but the battery fell off and it kept going ahah, it was funny to see my vehicle be disastrous.
I built the system so as long as you click on a piece, any piece you are building is attached to it. Hope that helps.
Amazing game, reminded me of some flash games from old websites. Great work!
Thanks
fun game! I thought that the building vehicle mechanic was really well built and easy to use.!
Thanks, I thought that mechanic would've been harder to make than it actually was. I'll make sure to check out your game when I get a chance.
