Ranked from 39 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
The difficulty for each group scales from Easy to Mega. The level becomes smaller and easier as you solve the groups since you have fewer choices. Boss levels are larger and more difficult than normal levels. The tiles are linked from an online icons library so creating new levels will be quicker as the number of levels scale up.

A great potential for a kids game <3

Developer

Hopefully, adults play it too lol. Thank you for playing!

I love the concept it was fun guessing themes and I always felt like I was 1 off. Good job throwing curveballs but not to big to make it impossible. Very well balanced and fun to play good stuff.

Developer

That's very helpful! I was wondering if some of the early levels were too difficult. Thanks for playing!

I had a really good time playing this ! Sometimes it's quite hard, and for me it was not on the highest levels.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Ya, I may need to reduce the difficulty of the earlier levels or change the orders of some of them.

It was really fun playing the game. It was super chill and you could tackle the groups at your own pace, which I liked. The music was calming and the groups were clever. The progression was also nice because you have to think more to make out the groups. Good job!!

Developer

That's great to hear! I was also wondering how the progression would be viewed especially in a game jam where people have limited time to play each game.

Now this is what I call a casual game that I would play every time I queue at the bank (specific, I know). I love solving little puzzles like this to spend time. Would be a good mobile game idea if expanded more. Fun and addictive to play, good job! :D

Developer

I had a similar thought! Thank you for playing!

Cool game, love the sfx on button hover and bg music! However, for the first level I was wondering - is the bat not an animal or am I missing something?...

Developer

Glad you liked it! You're right. The bat is a red herring since it can be in 2 groups. There are more tiles like that to add to the difficulty in other levels, but maybe I shouldn't have put it on level 1.

Very nice kid-friendly casual game! The UI feels clean and satisfying, and the icons are pretty.

Developer

I am glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

It could be an interesting app to learn the concepts and words for each tile!

Developer

That's a good idea. Maybe there is a niche for a learning game

Nice little puzzle game. Would make a good mobile game for kids I think.

Developer

I am glad you enjoyed it!

It's fun and took a bunch of my time!
Once you get used to it can be addictive :)

Developer

I liked this concept. A fun and simple little puzzle game

Developer

I hope you enjoyed it! The later levels might be a bit challenging though.

Cool! Like Connections with emojis! Why can't I stop playing?

Developer

I loved it so much that I made it with pictures! I am glad you liked it!

Oddly compelling with a slick interface.

Developer (1 edit)

I had a lot of fun designing it. Thank you for* playing!

Submitted(+1)

Ah I love this game concept! Having to use my brain to think about the wordplay is fun :)

Developer

Hopefully, it was the right amount of challenge. Thank you for playing!

Oh, I feel so lost... I justify myself by saying that the game may be difficult for non-native english speakers.

Either way, it was a pleasure to play this game. Thanks for your work!

upd: Okay, a couple more levels later, I think I'm hooked

Developer

Oh, that is a great point! Ya some of the levels will require some knowledge of how English words work. Maybe, there is a niche for some other language that could be explored, but I will let someone else do that!

Submitted

Hints work very well in this regard. You did everything you could for us (who don’t speak English) :)

In particular, it’s very nice that the tips are not limited in any way. I just reveal everything right away and enjoy

i love connections and connections with pretty pictures is obviously better

Developer

For legal purposes I have no idea what that is lol

Had a lot of fun figuring out the categories. Really enjoyed the music and art. Can definitely see myself play this to unwind at the end of the day.

Developer

I can't take too much credit for the music and art but glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

For whatever reason it's really hard to understand the logic how you should group elements at first but when you understand it shines. Nice art, effects, sounds and music makes the whole experience... whole... :)

Developer

Glad you liked it!

At beginning it was hard to understand, but in fact, its pretty cool! My game is not ready yet.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Let me know when yours is ready, and I will check it out.
