This might be favorite version of the "shrink and grow" 2D platforming games I've seen from this Jam so far. Using the vertical scaling as the jump mechanic was a great idea. Controls feel really good and the difficulty scales really well. Well done!

Very interesting idea, I love how the lil guy follows your mouse at the title screen! it was challenging to coordinate the buttons but that made it very fun!

Fits the theme extremely well

very cool red block stretching platformer game!

Fun and clever mechanic, took me a little while to get the grip of it, but after that the game was really fun. This is definitely a good take on the theme and also enjoyable level design. Great game!

Very cool mechanic!

One of the best games I've seen so far. Really nice gameplay and idea. The only thing I’d love to see added is a bit of air control. It already feels great!

Controls are perfect, very satisfying to play, nice job!

Really solid game with intuitive controls, it's got potential as both a puzzle game and precision platformer/speedrunning game. Loved it! 140 seconds with no secrets is my hs.

The controls feel really good, especially for just 48 hours development time.

Enjoyed it all the way to the end, but couldn't quite figure out how to reach the last secret. I would definitely play a full version of this with some polishing!

Developer

Thank you! Yes the last secret is pretty tricky, there's no special trick to it, just precise movement.

I played this game for longer than I'll admit lol, the pogo-stick jumping mechanic with the scaling feels so satisfying, well done!

fun little plat former. There were definitely sections where I had to use my head a little to get through certain spots. clever mechanics!

I really enjoyed the game! I love the way you incorporated the theme,  it actually impacted the core mechanic unlike many submissions I've played. Very fun, and in 48 hours! Great job!

And if you get a chance, maybe check out my game: https://rochesterx.itch.io/circuitbreaker :)

Developer

Thank you! :) I have your game bookmarked for tomorrow and will definitely check it out. I need to get some sleep now, developing the last couple days was not conducive to my sleep schedule.

What a fantastic little platformer. The movement and controls were very unique and a lot of fun to toy around with. Took a bit to get used to them, but felt like a pro by the top. I need to take more time to look harder for the secrets. Also I thought the eyes moving was a nice touch, just wish there was some sort of soundtrack. Great submission!

This is a fantastic use of the theme! And I love how cute the character is, its simplicity is charming. The gameplay was fun, although I wish it had been a little easier, especially at the beginning. It might've helped me to know how to stretch horizontally at the beginning because landing on platforms was a bit easier by stretching horizontally at the top of the jump

Developer

That's the bane of solo game development, you always think "yeah of course this is not too difficult, I can do it with my eyes closed!" :D And thanks for the great review!
