This game has a lovely art component, with teh caracter design and color choices.
That paired with the sfx & music really helped sell the theme of a healer centric game.
Good job!
i don't think i've ever seen a single player game about being a healer... i assume that's because it's hard to make it engaging, but here you definitely managed that!! good art, very fitting epic music. the enemies are pretty easy to deal with, but there's enough variety to keep you interested. having 4 different skills is also great, especially being able to directly tell your tank/damage dealer where to go, but it's also sweet being able to directly help out in combat with the freeze. this is a great entry and i'd actually really like to play a more fleshed out game like this, i had a blast
Brings back memories of playing WoW, where I would shout, "Tank, hold your position! Don't wander off!" Cool game!!!!
Awesome idea, I think it has great potential and I would be happy to see full game of this kind on Steam.
Good entry! Loved the art and music.
Good work :)
I like it!! very fun, good design to be able to heal self as well, however with the call ability (E), it will feel as if you are controlling the big dude too, so maybe you could consider an alternative like him not always being responsive to your calls? thats my only bit of criticisim tho!
If you can find the time, would you please check out our game as well?
Our twist of the theme is that a critic tries to play your unfinished game, and you fight from inside the computer to make him like it. Hope you'll like it!
neat game, wish abilities were labeled. fun had
I love the art so much. I can't believe you got that opening cutscene in there in just 48 hours. My only criticism is I wish the robot were more independent. The idea of being the escort for the escort missions is great, but at a certain point the robot just stopped moving altogether without my commands. It's super impressive for a 48 hour jam though, and I look forward to seeing if you develop it further
Ahh, the opening cutscene is actually kinda broken. Parts of it are not animating properly. But yeah, our artist did a great job! I would've also loved to flesh the tank guy out more. But time was tight and what the player is doing ended up being the priority.
I really like the art style and sound!
truly magical experience
I LOVE the art style
I LOVE the art style
A really great game with generally good mechanics; love both the hollow knight-esque graphics and the concept, though I wish the tank was easier to move with
We didn't want it to feel like you are just controlling two characters. The tank is supposed to feel like he has a bit of a mind of his own (even though the AI we got in 48 hours is very basic ofc)
The best game I've played in this jam by far!! Only thing is I wish we had more control over the tank guy, it'd be super sweet if we could use him to block shots. Adding onto that idea, maybe projectiles that hurt the healer or the tank more, so you're incentivized to control which party member gets hurt? I wasn't really sure how best to use the cloaking, I realized about halfway through you could be a bit more aggressive to speedrun but it didn't feel like there was any point to do that. Amazing art and gameplay, I love this concept so much and I wanna see it in more games.
Glad you liked it so much :) We deliberately wanted the player to have very little control over the tank, since the role-reversal part wouldn't really work if it feels like you're just playing both characters. The command was already a compromise to keep it from being super frustrating. The cloaking is primarily intended to drop aggro from you so that chasing enemies keep attacking your tank.
The game feels really nice. Doing stuff is rewarding and has nice feedback. I wish that the bunny did more stuff though!
I assure you there was more planned for the tank. But in the time we had, having a rewarding moveset for the player and engaging enemies was the bigger priority.
