oh yeah i know how to add WASD controls. I just totally forgot, haha. Thanks anyway for playing the game :))

Yeah it's difficult but not impossible, trust me. The trick is to get behind them since they only shoot in one direction. I made the game hard on purpose, but perhaps I've made it too hard? Lol

that's super weird but i have no idea how to fix that. probably a browser bug. installing the exe should fix it pretty easily, but it's good that you were able to play the game at least.

Did that fix the issue?

(1 edit)

Please send me something on my discord, this has never happened before. (I didn't see anybody else having this problem)

Would you be kind enough to send a message to cimaus__44166? Also, the exe file might just work since it may be a browser problem.

The atmosphere here is actually pretty well-done. It balances the funny part and the "horror" part pretty well. I did not appreciate the way the jumpscared flickered between black and white so quickly though, lol. I also noticed there is a very good amount of content for such a short amount of time. I thought the art was pretty simplistic, which actually fits pretty well with what the game is trying to achieve. The sounds effects are... inconsistent? But they're still pretty well-chosen. Too bad the fridge and cabinet don't work, i was really annoyed when i couldnt open the door and just had to die lol. Maybe a couple more hiding spots scattered would be good for the game? Haha.

But overall, it's a pretty nice game.

Great job. Keep it up.

Really nice game. I especially like this type of game because it really does feel like it tries to attack you indirectly. There's really nothing to criticize--other than perhaps maybe i needed a bit more, and perhaps maybe a visual novel isn't the best option for a game jam, haha. the music was super immersive, and the art was really unsettling to look at, in a good way, of course. The tie to theme is quite direct, which is solid. I really do feel bad for some of the characters, though. You really write brutality well.

Good game.

Keep it up.

this game was a VERY frustrating experience, in a good way of course xD

Going back and forth between the rooms where literally EVERYTHING looked the same was infuriating, ahaha. i even missed where the base was at the end and couldn't finish the game haha

still, just poking around with stuff and seeing the uhh... curious househeld was certainly very fun. it is quite petty to just... steal a pen, though. i've stolen a hundred pens accidentally from my friends, lol

that aside, while i do realise that the similar-shaped atmosphere is good for this type of game, i certainly would've appreciated some kind of mini map or something. getting lost in game is something im very fond, like when i just to get lost in the older legend of zelda rpgs, but when everything looks the same, it's not the similiraity that's fun, it's the suspense of whether in the next room i'll find what i'm looking for or not lol.

also, pressing escape in the web version makes your fullscreen go out, which is annoying because you need it to access an important mechanic. still, it wasn't game breaking or anything. also, pressing e to select is quite hard when i don't have the small dot in the middle. maybe that's just me though.

the sound effects were okay. the art was pretty good. i really enjoyed it.

keep it up.

yeah i totally get the bullet guys are hard lol. the idea is to get behind them, since they only shoot in one direction

The game was really cool overall. The audio part really does hold it back like many others said--but i didn't think it was groundbreaking enough to make the game not fun or anything. exploring the areas was really cool even though i couldn't interact with anything (and those 3d trees looked genuinely amazing). I also found it really funny how a guy that looks like he's in his 80s or something is running around this much lol. One really thing i noticed is that sometimes the enemies take really long to come at you--no idea if that's intentional or not. But still, overall, i had a lot of fun killed dark circle dudes, lol

Great job!

Keep it up!

One of the contenders, in my opinion. The presentation is just really good and the idea is transferred well, even without any kind of tutorial. I totally enjoyed killing--i mean uhh, getting those rest to death haha. The art was simplistic but looked so fitting to this type of game, so it's totally amazing. One thing i noticed however, and im not sure if that's on my part, is that the last guy's collision mask in level 7 was REALLY tiny. had to get them exactly in the middle. no idea if that's the case for all of them and i just didn't notice or if that's only for that guy. The connection to the theme is pretty smart, would have never thought of that. the sound effects, like the art, were super fitting,

Great game.

Keep it up!

The game was quite good. I think it would have benefited a TON from some kind of tutorial, because in the first few minutes i just stood there confused, lol. also, some of the white guys ai's were... really weird? like sometimes they just lagged in place or moved in ways that are really weird. that didn't spoil the experience too much, though. I thought it was a cute lil game. Definitely should have had more levels, and some of the levels here are kinda way too easy, but for 15 hours, it's good.

Good game. Keep it up.

The menu art is actually sick. I REALLY liked it. At first, i thought the gameplay would be repetitive after a while, but surprisingly, it held itself well, at least until i lost, haha. The gameplay is fairly easy to understand even without a tutorial, but that doesn't mean it's simplistic or anything. One thing i did find a bit annoying sometimes, however, is that i have to face the object im trying to do something with (fix one of the doors, or get ammo). I know that's more realistic, but i found that a bit annoying. Another thing, when the number of zombies gets HUGE, it's a little bit unfair because their collision masks are really big, so i felt it's a bit unfair when desperately trying to get ammo, haha. But i can't complain about the thing that's latter too much--since when i've thought about it, i didn't find anyway to get through that problem without making the game too easy.

The sfx and music were pretty good, but they were non-intrusive, which meant i was focusing on them less, which is unironically a good thing for this type of game lol

Great game!

Keep it up.

the theme ties in as in Jacob came into the city uninvited, but i guess that's kind of loose lol, thank you!

I'd have said that this is polished for something that's created in 2 days--but the game is just polished in general! It's a very simple, direct interpretation of the theme. There are some uninvited guests you have to get out, and you get clues. Although i did have to refresh my English because i totally forgot the difference between row and column haha. Also, I have no idea if it's a part of a public asset pack or something, but the music is a VIBE. it's stuck in my head. the art's okay, though it did feel slightly generic. overall, i had fun with the game, and more importantly, it was fun enough for me to finish all 6 levels!

Great game!

Keep it up.

Just like the person below me said, it was kind of fun to throw stuff (even if the beeping sound didn't always play for some reason.)

I know this is supposed to be a bleak, tired game, but even then, i think it would have benefited from some kind of white noise or sound effects. Wouldn't say music. Too stimulating. There was this bug where the characters just don't appear sometimes, but that's too minor and did not affect the game. The art looks very special. Didn't think i'd see a realistic monochrome style, totally.

The police came to get me. I have no idea if i killed the milk guy, haha.

Good little visual novel. Keep it up!

Very interesting game design-wise! The atmosphere is clearly very bleak and edgy, even without telling much of a story. the way i attacked sheep by clicking my mouse on them and getting close was annoying at first, but it grew on me very quickly. Tweens and shake effects are normally used to make the game feel smoother--but not in this game, and in a good way. Even the shakes and effects are bleak and rough-feeling. The music was un-intruding which is good, but it was a tad forgettable, the sound effects however were well-chosen. The tutorial in the beginning is a bad hard to read without moving the cursor so maybe moving it to a layer with a higher z order or something would have been better. Also, returning to the spawn point isn't very satisfying without some kind of shake or cutscene. Sometimes, I'm not even sure if I completed the level or not. But those are just nitpicking. It's a good game overall! Keep it up!

yeah, and the janky part is completely my fault tbf. at least it's not BUGGY, though! it held itself well, even if it felt like it was stuck together with 1970s tape. thank you :)

Ahahahahah. Poor Paul (totally not laughing at him, i mean 1.92 is TINY, isn't it :P).

The game is pretty welld-done. The rooms are made well, so i don't get confused while walking around too much. The black thingies gave me a decent chill once or twice, too. the good thing about the rollback pc is that it really leaves suspense for what happens next. even frustration when that dumbass "doctor" comes around. Man, i dont think he's married, he would've ate her already.

Jokes aside, there really isn't much to nitpick about this game. It's really that solid. If there was ONE thing i would nitpick (and it's really tiny) is that the raining sound doesn't loop very well. you can tell when it starts and ends. Still, that's just me forcing criticism.

It's a very nice game!

Keep it up!

It's a simple game tower defense game. I like it. It doesn't anything new, however, just some different types of enemies and different types of shooters with different prices. Still, the game was actually done quite well--the sound effects were well-chosen, the music was pretty good, and the game felt alive. Maybe different maps for different waves, some kind of simple story, or a way to shoot bullets that's a bit more interactive would have done it a lot of favors. Still, I liked it. Keep it up!

oh wow this was an EXPERIENCE. i really loved this one. the process of making a game inside a game was genuinely so cool. the voice acting was really nice, too. As far as I played, i didn't notice any game-breaking bugs. It genuinely got a chill or two out of me, too. One thing I can say is that, sometimes, just sometimes and i have no idea if it's intentional, the brightness is a tad TOO low. maybe it's just my laptop. who knows. but other wise, it's just a really nice experience that i won't forget very easily.

Keep it up!!

Yeah, "very" friendly monster. Wow I enjoyed this (totally not the the eating them part). The atmosphere is super cinematic, and the art is genuinely creepy in a way that's not just scary or unsettling. Idk how to explain it. The sound/music does the job, and the controls are clear. The only thing i found a bit tedious was having to repeat the dialouge over and over when i die, and its a tad bit too dark. still, i was very much able to enjoy this.

(Totally not the killing part)

Keep it up!

it's a fun lil game. it's a tad too simple, plus (and spoiler alert), having ONLY 10/31 working when some people could use 31/10 or 31/10/2025 for example. But other than that, it's a small little puzzle game that would have benefited A LOT from more content. the art is okay. same with music.

(1 edit)

Some very nice effects there! This is genuinely a creatively made game. I'd have never thought of an idea like that, haha. I actually forgot I was rating for the jam for a bit and got too invested into the game. Now of course, i got bored in a while, but that's not a fault from the game. The map is surprisingly well made, and some of the moving and shaking effects really add a good touch to how the game feels overall. I'd say that the music is a tad bit too dramatic for my liking--since we're literally stealing candy, after all (and i mean, the police comes after us if we steal too much candy. Can I really complain?)

Essentially, the game is simple, but it's the good, well-done type of simple. I didn't notice any breaking bugs while playing. (And i saw that turtle btw.)

Overall, really great game! Keep it up (Hscore=33)

The game is very well-done design-wise. It's fairly easy once you get the hang of it--but the only problem is, at first, I had no idea of how i should play the game. While it's hard to criticize too much, I mean it's a 7 day jam after all, but a complete lack of a tutorial made me just stare at the screen for a while. Still, mechanically, I didn't notice any breaking bugs, the music is genuinely atmospheric (especially the sound effects, those are really well done too), and the art (are they hand-made art? or are they real furniture put in photoshop? are they public assets? i have no idea)

Still, overall, it's a good game. Would recommend. Keep it up!

I've LOVED this back in 2023. Had no idea it's still updating! Keep it up man

DAMMIT THE JUMPSCARE SCARED ME TOO UGHGHHGHGHG.

Anyway, this is a super simple game that relies on luck. The story is... questionable, and I think I would have understood more if the grammar was correct. The mechanics were kinda confusing and the art was a bit tough on the eyes- but just for that jumpscare it was a good experience lol

Let me just say I REALLY love the pixel art. It looks beautiful and really fitting too. The story felt a bit too fast-paced but it's still interesting for me to get hooked. The voice acting is also good- it captures enough emotion. The only problem is with the gameplay- I wouldn't say it's "hard", just a bit unfair, I guess? I don't like waiting for the animation to finish to be able to do something else (for example, I barely even get past the second spike because I needed to wait for the animation of sliding to finish to be able to jump), and jumping feels super... idk how to describe it but... way too realistic, i guess? a bit too slow maybe? idk. 😅 I know you said the game is short and you had to make it super hard, but it's possible to make something hard/difficult without making it unfair. That's just my opinion though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Keep it up mate!

Thanks :) I've said this to another dude before, but all the passwords aND the stuff are in the description of the game whenever your stuck. That doesn't matter though, thanks either way :). I'm going to check the code thingy, it worked fine for me but I'll playtest it again.

Thanks :) Just to let you know, all the passwords and stuff are in the description of the game whenever you're stuck :) Thanks either way!

this is merely chapter 1 of the story- but trust i have a story in mind and it will click later on :) thank you so much for your time, i appreciate it :) im gonna play your game as soon as i can.

Sheesh, you ate???? lol

Thx mate, I really appreciate it! I hope to continue the story soon :)

sadly i already tried that :( Seems to be a problem on my end. I'll figure it out soon enough.

Very Cozy Game! Loved the calm music and the basic premise, but it needed some sound effects. Also, I would have loved some kind of challenge or mission, but if your premise is to make a very coz, comforting game, then this is just enough! I almost fell asleep on my chair (which is not a bad thing, rarely anything has the ability to make me sleep nowadays).

Good work! Keep it up!

I really love this game! It has art, music, gameplay all packed into one! I'm not sure how you even made that in 2 days.

Anyway, One (or two) things I don't like is how there's no option to use left and arrow buttons. This made the game nearly unplayable for me because I'm a loser who uses arrow keys xD, now for the gameplay, I'd argue it's a bit too hard, but I'm probably biased because I'm not a platformer guy.

Good Game Overall! Keep it up, you rock :)

I think there's a problem with my device- the game just doesn't start! So I'm not gonna rate it for now, but it seems like a cool game from the outside.

Cool game with a very simple concept, but I don't see any connection to the theme! It needed just a bit more content to make it more enjoyable. Cool game nonetheless! Keep it up!

The Game's very good in general but should be harder. Everything else is fine

Sorry if I'm mistaken, but isn't this just a GDevelop template? Nonetheless, good game overall!

I will rate most games soon, dw :)
