Pretty cool concept, but i didnt really get the point..
Great game and I really liked the use of hammer like in the game "getting over it". Very interesting concept. My guess is the levels are procedural generated or follows something similar as some levels seem impossible to complete. Great art work and music, besides the level generation system everything is well done. Good job.
Nice game, funny to play but some levels seem to be impossible.
Great game,
A few levels are impossible to navigate but is is a fun game and it is not difficult to pick up the controls.
I would have stuck to designing a map with a number of levels, so the player can figure out the controls in the earlier sections of the game.
Great music will done to Simon!
Great work!
Quite an impressive game. Love the cute character. Randomizer as said by others need a bit a work , I love randomize game like this. Pre-game jam gonna be lit.
Style, visual, audio and game play are realy good. But randomizer are greate!
Nice game! I enjoyed the gameplay, although there are of course impossible level designs as others have mentioned. The art is very pleasing, as is the audio, and overall it was a nice little game.
This game is really fun, it visually looks quite nice and the audio is absolutely perfect, i love that when you break your streak, its a hammer that hits the score to set it to zero, this game has taken care of the main mechanics as well as the little bits of polish really well. I had an impossible level or two here and there but the level generation is legitimately quite good for a jam. the only problem is the glitch in which your hammer can pass through blocks without propelling you forward.
Overall, one of the most fun entries ive seen in a jam!
good game. Like littlepuly said- sometimes the nail is impossible to get. That aside- good art- good music- decent mechanics.
Your dev did a great job in making the mechanics, btw. The theme implementation is neat, if a bit generic?
You all deserve some applause. Great work yall
Thank you very much for the review !! Especially for the music ! (I'm the sound guy)
Mechanics could have been better if we implemented a pathfinder algorithm and a stackable reroll, but hey, 3 days is short.
I'm not sure if it is that generic ? Yes it was already done by Getting over It, but I rarely see it done in game jams ? And we wanted to avoid the tool being a gun. (I suggested the tool to be the prison institution, but my team didn't want).
Overall, thank youuu !!
The art style looks good! the character is charming. hitting the nail felt really fun, I loved the sound and the impact.
A common problem I faced was that the game spawns the nail sometimes in an impossible to reach area like this:
and then I have to restart and lose a life for something out of my control. another issue is that the first hammer hit every stage goes through the block without propelling you upwards, which can feel frustrating.
I love the idea, and when the stars align and the generation creates an interesting level it really shines.
Thank you very much for all the kind compliments !
For the impossible levels, yes, we are sadly aware of this, but we didn't had enough time to implement a pathfinding algorithm. We tried to balance it, by taking in account the fact that some levels will always be impossible, and that your goal is not to finish all the levels, but mostly to stay alive and score big !
We are very proud of our interesting levels, even though they happen once every 5 levels !
Amazing visuals! Love the main character.
Thank you ! His name is Don Martello !
The graphics looked really nice. My only issue is that when you don't run the game in fullscreen, you can't see what's right and what's left. I noticed it when in a level I had to turn on fullscreen so that I could notice that there was a path outside of the screen. But overall an enjoyable game, great job :)
Thank you really much for the compliments !
For the fullscreen part, it is probably something linked to the webGL of Unity, we don't really know how to deal with it. If you happen to know, don't hesitate to share !
I think its very cool that we both interpreted theme similarly but yet the game idea so differently.
This feel very Lisa Mona inspired however I feel that the largeness of the levels and the randomness combined make the game more of an experiment than a fun time. I wish resetting didn't punish you as much as sometimes you get stuck in a level that cannot be beat.
This being said my best run i got 9 points :3
It seems that Getting over It was inspiring yes ! I'll try your game as soon as I can !
Yeah ! Mosa Lina was our second inspiration. So you didn't have fun I suspect ? Or you mean the similar kind of fun we can have with Mosa Lina ?
GG for the 9 points ! My best is 77 but I'm not flexing
I definitely had fun! The puzzles when the level was possible where very fun to figure out!
I just was frustrated when I lost my streak from RNG and not skill.
Also 77 is insane lmaooo
Ok, I would really have liked to play your game, but I can't run it. Sincerely sorry !
All good! What could I do to help you run it once I can post a new build?
It's only the webgl that doesn't work, I haven't tried downloading it (it was very late when I started testing, I limited myself to browser game). I think it is the webGL of Unity that doesn't work with my browser (our game doesn't work either on my computer).
I'll try it, but probably after the notation period ends
The presentation of the game is great, and it has good gameplay. I wish there were more options when you're in an impossible level than resetting
Thank you very much for the review ! We initially wanted to use a pathfinder algorithm to prevent an impossible level but we didn't have enough time sadly. The equilibrium we found with medkits was good for us, but we underestimated the fact that, as the developers, our level was better due to practice.
