Wow, your game is really polished. I think it is one of the best in this jam because everything in it is so exquisitely presented. The page design is also amazing ( because I am the artist of my team so I really concerned about these details). I also clicked on your cofi page and saw that you are a solo indie game dev. You are so cool and professional, hope your games can succeed!
Great game and amazing production given the 48 hour time limit!
Amazing art, concept and writing. Feels super finished for just 48 hours, great work!
Super polished and fun like all of your games! I have no idea how you manage to do this every time xD
I will note though that it would've been nice to have an introduction level to the other troops and that the final level could be easily cheesed, if you make the time x4 and spam the normal knights until you upgrade them enough to win on their own...
I originally planned to make around 10-12 levels but 48 hours is too little. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though!
Yeah, in such a short jam it's hard to avoid scope creep (or should I say ScopeKreep ;)
That's a triple 5 stars for me, we went for a similar concept but your execution was just hilarious, from the name to the art to the plot twist in the end, it didn't seem like it was made in 48h, you really gave the kind a personality and made me invested in reading his thoughts every time.
Congratulation on your submission, I can't see a world where this doesn't make the top 100... atleast one of the "inverted tower defense" brothers will make it to GMTK video Haha
If I had one small criticism to make, it is that the game doesn't encourage strategy, (the opposite of what this type of game should be doing). I found myself spamming units and upgrading them none stop till winning.
Your project has insane potential, best of luck for the rest!
I loved the mechanics, and the pixel art was beautiful as well.
Really nice art loved the style
Really great concept! I enjoyed it. Hope you continue to develop this game.
Super charming presentation with an original concept. i could definitely see a full game of this and it'd be pretty fun.
But as it is now it's more of a demo than a game of its own. Before the player has the opportunity to really solve any puzzle or put any skills to the test it's already over.
Thanks for playing! I had to cut out a lot of content (several levels, more abilities, entire chunks of story) to make it in time so the end result is short and hypercasual.
This was very enjoyable! Great work!
The polish and juice in the game are phenomenal! Love it!
Very nice polish, I love the idea and the game was pretty fun too. I wish it had ramped up faster and went on for a bit longer.
The game is sooo enjoyable that I can't stop playing it! When the game ends I feel so sad because it was too short. I hope there will be more levels in the future.
Great Game, tho I wish there was more but still fantastic job with the art and the feel of the game
As game developers we really have to stop raising the bar on ourselves like this.
This game is so pretty! The mechanics are pretty simple/straightforward but that's perfect for a 48 hours jam. You delivered perfectly on the concept. Well done!
Your game looks amazing, the Gameplay is solig, a little better explaination on the skills would help but the Baseline is rock solid! Was a blast to play, and the progress was very well paced! - I would love a litte better / better controllable movement of the king to get around better but it was totaly okay !
Love the Game 15/15 from me.
good game
great visuals and fun gameplay!
I can't believe you made the whole thing in two days. The amount of polish in there is incredible! Short and sweet. Only complaint is that I didn't really understand how to unlock cleric and knight units, they seemed to just unlock randomly.
Units and abilities unlock when your minions cover enough distance (shown as the progress bar above unit icons). But I agree, could’ve communicated this better.
Lmao I ignored that progress bar the whole time XD
