How does your game fit the theme?
Instead of using fear as in most horror games, where the player is penalized for getting near the monster, I decided to take a different approach, where fear fuels an adrenaline mechanic. So, when the player has enough adrenaline, they can punch walls to the ground and change the level, making it easier to escape from the monster.

I love the atmosphere and aesthetic! The idea was really creative too. But I am not sure how I am supposed to reach blood puddles if just getting near the monster instantly makes me lose

Interesting game, pretty cool game mechanic. I collected enough money, however then I got cornered up and couldn't do anything. Thumbs up!

Amazing role reversal. Also the hole in the hand is such a cool visual, and using it as a gauge is even cooler!

Okay ngl I wasn't expecting much, but the first ghost that jumpscared me actually made me cramp my neck cuz i jolted up my shoulders in shock lmao. Love the vibes!

Developer(+1)

Wow, I'm just as shocked as you're, iceboyarch! I was afraid people wouldn't get scared by that simple monster, but apparently I was wrong lol. In any case, thank you very much for giving FIA a try and for your kind words! I really appreciate it.

I like the aesthetics, i’ve really this impression of being lost in the “backrooms/poolrooms”, like Speedbump5 say i’ve the same difficulty to understand to restore adrenaline, but after reading his comment it’s more clear. I’m not a big fan of the ghost “screamer”, it’s funny one time but after few session it’s bad and not really terrific. In horror i think “screamer” is bad, delete the sprite of the ghost, keep the vision alterate when he is near, and it’s better, because people are afraid that he don’t see and don’t understand.

Thank you for the very insightful review, ROBOWARRIOR! I'll definitely take everything you said into consideration if I decide to update the game once the jam is over.

Thank you very much, Mind Result! It really means a lot to me, as I'm mostly a programmer instead of an artist haha.

Very scary! I like how the "tutorial" is part of the game. I'm impressed with the art and general game-feel

Thanks a lot, Wafflekiller5876! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the game overall. :)

I really dig the retro Doom style art.  I couldn't seem to find puddles of blood before the ghost killed me  every time and I can only punch 1 door because I'm out of adrenaline. I like the creepy sound effects and that you can only see the dollar signs through the  hole in your hand. Good job.

Thank you for the kind words, Speedbump5! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed some of the details I managed to squeeze into the game. Also, I'm sorry that you weren't able to find any puddles of blood. They're a trail produced by the monster and they only last for about 10 seconds. It was probably my fault; I should've added this to the tutorial. Anyway, thank you very much for playing! :)
