Interesting idea and a good implementation of it. The shake on destroying walls is a little bit too strong :D But yeah, good job overall!
Thank you for playing :)!
A great idea and you've managed to implement a lot of features. The feedback sometimes seems a bit too random (e.g. there should be an item called "4243") and sometimes the feedback is not updated when it has been fixed. I'm also not sure if there is a win condition or if I am just too bad to reach it ^^
Overall, it's a fun and interesting game, just needs a bit of polish (like 99% of game jam games) :)
I wanted to implement a lot of feedback variants so it doesn't repeat itself too much. The feedback updates itself correctly based on my testing. For example, it's hard to tell how many chests should be in the level, but telling the player directly isn't really a puzzle. Thank you for playing :)!
The problem I encountered was, if I remember correctly, for the amount of space in the level. I opened and closed the feedback window a few times and sometimes it was green and sometimes it was red. This happened even when I hadn't changed anything. Hope that helps :)
That's strange, if I will continue working on this game (probably not) I will look into it. Thank you for your feedback :).
We both went for a similar idea with the "you are the developer" twist, I like how you get to create your own items and the "players" running around in the level is nice to see. I had a bug where one feedback said I had a bad amount of chests, but when I placed some chests and then removed them again, the feedback turned green even if I had the same amount of chests as before. Well done on creating this solo!
The script is coded in such a way that the number of chests requested is set when creating the review and isn't changed. This bug never appeared to me while playtesting. It's strange, but possible. Thank you for playing :)!
I actually did this idea but then scrapped it on day one since it took more time than expected. Great game!
Thank you for playing!
this is a really good idea! It needs more work on the execution, though.
Thank you for playing. I made this game without any asset packs and without any prewritten code. I didn't have much time to add more content or make the game better. Thanks for your feedback.
Good and creative game
Thanks <3!
Very Fun and creative
Thanks <3!
You have one of the most interesting ideas I have played so far. However, I think it might be a little too ambitious for 48 hours. There are a lot of instructions front-loaded at the player at the beginning and not much play to learn. This makes the rating system used in the game kinda acting as a black box which is realistic as the game developer does rarely know why the player like or dislikes certain things, however for a game it makes it hard to master.
I could easily see this game being expanded and having a more hands-on version of Game Developer Tycoon. Overall, I like the game but I would have loved to see/play it after a little longer in the "development" oven.
Thanks for playing and thank you for your feedback.
Really nice game! The level and item customization was very fun to tinker with. I don't know if there was a bug but I had people requesting items named numbers like "7351" or "7724". If it's intentional it's an odd choice because it wouldn't make sense for users to request those features. Otherwise a clever spin on the game jam theme!
I wanted to add variety to the game, but I didn't have enough time to make people request items with actual names. Nonetheless, thank you for playing and thank you for your feedback.
"How to be a game developer: 1) Make level 2) Add items 3) Get feedback"
MAN, IF IT WAS THAT EASY... lol
Great game, that idea is really hard to design, but you managed to do it very well. Congrats!
I am glad you liked it :)!
Being creative and making the items was fun! I do wish I knew how to improve my "game", as the tutorial and "feedback" weren't always helpful. Though, I like to pretend when playing your game that I'm a hobbyist-developer and don't care what other people think haha
Enjoy the game however you want! In the feedback mainly the last sentence is the key. Thank you for playing!
Amazing game
Thanks!
This is a really clever twist on the entire game jam format itself. Turning trying to solve peoples problems with the game into a puzzle is really cool. Great Job!
Thank you so much!
Extremely cool! Nice art, and a very cool concept! Although the game is missing an item with the name "8871".
You are suppose to make the item with name "8871". Thanks for playing!
I know, it was a joke
Very unique concept , creating Items was fun , and feedback was made me enjoy a lot.
Thank you for playing :)! Also thanks for your feedback.
I enjoyed this quite a bit. Loved how you implemented the feedback system!!!
Thanks a lot 🤍!
