cool game! I love it

...

But no, seriously, cool take on the theme with the mind swap thing and the shape art work well.

Just one complaint: parallax + camera moving with mouse + camera shake + fast movement is way too much juice. Tone it down a bit and you'll keep your juice, and the game will be enjoyable for longer.

Developer

Saying that "parallax + camera moving with mouse + camera shake + fast movement" is too much juice is kind of confusing for me. Firstly, parallax and fast movement don't really qualify as juice, and secondly are you telling me to not have a background or not have fast movement? I think what you are talking about is the hitstop, as some other commenters pointed out the hitstop isn't justified and there's way too much. Honestly the amount of juice here is pretty average compared to some of the games i've seen.

Well, I just know how I felt. Maybe not too much juice, but just "too much". I think the parallax is what made it kinda droozy.

alright i understand that, its fine. i did kinda overdo some bits.

I think digital dude nailed it. This 95% of the way to awesome, you just need that last few percent of tuning.

Great game!

It's very juicy, I especially like the way you implemented the health bar for the circle. Concept is quite interesting but I feel the mechanics of the attackers seem a bit too similar for it to work. Also, the shooting arcs are visually amazing but aiming is frustrating, so need to balance those out. Music is good. Overall quite fun, well done.

Game looks incredible and feels really cool to play. I do feel the mind-swap mechanic is a bit weird and should be explained better, but otherwise, great job!

Really interesting concept! It took me some time to figure out how to switch the AIs, but once you get the hang of it it gets creative and soooo juicy! Solid presentation, good job team  - you were 1 guy, fantastic!- !

We were 2 guys actually, my mate just doesnt have an itch account. He's the one who made the music.

That still pretty impressive in my book! Kudos to your pal aswell!

Cool game, the polishing is nice. I the feel like the enemies have a lot of health though, I want to feel more power and take the guys out no problem. Not bad though

The visuals are really nice to look at. The smoke effect has a great style that's cohesive with the more glowey effects, which also look great. I really like the background as well. This is a really pretty game

The music is incredible! The gameplay feels satisfying! Good interpertation of the theme too! The game feel is just perfection! Really would like to see a full version!

Not bad julius, way better than you other games before, plus, the effects were pretty decent. I couldnt tell if some hitstop was just lag or actual hitstop. Maybe you could try to justify the hitstop more next time?

While the idea for this game was really good, the execution was done poorly. The idea for the triangle enemy being a threat to swapping was smart in my opinion, but also, I dont like how the only things worth swapping are the triangle and the hexagons.

Overall, a good improvement, and a pretty decent game overall!

This game is absolutely dripping with polish.

I do wish that I was immune when in the mind swapping station, but other than that it was great :)

The vfx and style on display here are a sight to behold! Great work on the entire presentation. I didn't notice the arrow pointing to the station right away, but once I figured that out, I was golden. The explosions and enemies and glows are fantastic and it really gets the blood pumping. The lmb/rmb attacks are fun to use, and all around this is just a fun little gem to experiment with.

juicy gameplay, it was a little slow on my machine, I liked the polish of the game, the idea of changing the behavior of NPCs is interesting, I just couldn't use it strategically in the game.

This is one JUICY game. Booms and shakes and pewpews and that mind-bending parallax background. Beautiful.

It took me a long time to figure out exactly what the mind swapping mechanic actually did. For awhile, I was being chased by an aggressive triangle with a shield and I just couldn't do anything. Then I finally found the mind-bind station, which was unfortunately awkward to use. I tried playing with it for a long time, but it just didn't click until I happened to open the menu with the triangle peeking out from behind the menu and noticed its eyes disappear. And I understand there should be some sort of limitation or restriction to the central power, but making it a physical object that you have to click on felt unwieldy. Did you get to try a keybind for that? Or a pickup or something?

I might not have known what I was doing for a long time, but it was still satisfying to feel all those big explosions.

Well done JC! Keep making games! I look forward to what you make next :)

Alright yeah the biggest problem for me was to actually get the player to understand wth that station did. It is not an easy thing to do, and the time restriction really forced me to work on the juiciness of the game. So yeah, I only added a very slight hint to what it does and only at the end of the jam. Well now I know how to actually make a fun and juicy game at least, so there's that.

Heck yeah, good to focus on the positive.

Seriously. That juice is beautiful lol.
