Nice idea! The controls were... uncomfortable. But then I thought - it's space, so it's should work exactly like that. And it works for me. Good game! Good job :)

Thank you for the feedback!

This was SUCH a cool idea, a physics-based horror game where you're exploring the surface of your own ship to repair while also keeping an eye on both your oxygen and for the alien monster. My only quibble is that the controls were a bit too hard, especially when you're tethered. When I was tethered and used my rockets, I would sort of spin only at the very end, rather than use the entire length of the rope, if that makes sense. This made it really hard to understand how to use the tethering points in relation to the ship, as the rope felt really stick and pole-like except for the very end. The idea for this game is so cool and original, I really hope you come back to this post-jam because I think it has a ton of potential, and I'd love to see a version of this game with a more fluid control scheme.

By the way, we played your game on our stream tonight!

Thank you very much for your feedback! Unfortunately we didn't get the controls to the state we ultimately wanted it, but we were pretty happy with our final result. We may come back to it in the future to improve it in the ways you'd suggested.

Thanks for playing our game! It was cool to watch your live reaction!

Nice game! a bit to hard in my opinion, but great game [!

Is the monster inspired by hp lovecraft ? :D

Some more oxygen tanks around the ship would be really nice other than that is a very nice game which gets better every run :D Just need to hook at the perfect moment to catch your drift !

Thank you!!
Edit: Yes it was HP Lovecraft inspired!

I was a bit confused until I read the controls on the itch page; it would have been nice to have them somewhere in the game itself, especially since the art and text and everything fit your theme very well. As others have said, the controls are a bit clunky, especially the tether (the physics don't quite seem to work right), but overall it fits the space theme for it to be somewhat difficult. I tried a few times, but unfortunately the (web) game froze on my last try :(

Once I understood what to do and how to control it was really fun though difficult!

Would have liked more in game instructions, maybe a very short tutorial

Thank you for the feedback :)

Interesting game, for sure. Creepy vibes, definitely achieved! I would say, the difficult controls are not inherently a problem. The tether perhaps felt a bit off - I love to be able to use my momentum and swing off the tether points.

Also, would've been great to have instructions in the game in some form. I initially played it without reading your itch page in detail, and didn't realize the tether was a thing.

Ultimately, cool concept. I think the difficulty was a bit high for me personally, but was fun anyway.

Thank you! Appreciate the feedback.

Good concept and adherence to the theme, but the movement was very clunky

Very nice graphics and a very creepy alien! A bit difficult to move but for this type of game it added to the fun!

Submitted(+1)

great idea and I can see the potential, but I found it a little difficult to move about.

I agree to the others:

The idea is great and very original  and the graphics are awesome
But it's very hard to control and it is very frustrating. Also the background noises are very annoying.. Also there is no feedback what is happening. A bit more indicators and sound effects would help the game. A introduction to the controls should also be added.

Developer

Thanks, we appreciate the feedback - audio isn't our strong suit and we definitely need to work on it

Hard controls maybe some player animation could make game next level ,ya nice concept so its kind of fun. tutorial level is missing

Submitted(+1)

I liked the art. Especially the alien. nice jobs earthlings!

Interesting and original concept, but it was hard to control.

Submitted(+1)

I couldn't figure out the controls, but this is a unique interpretation of the theme. I'm also impressed you made this much artwork during the jam time, very respectable.

Submitted(+1)

it would be nice to have a bit of introduction to the mechanics, but it was quite easy to adapt to the controls

good game

Really cool game :)

I feel like the controls lag a bit and the physics are a bit off. It's a cute concept tho!

Thank you for the feedback :)

You kind of get dropped into the middle of the game, it's quite unclear of how to play the game. Goals could also be more elaborated. As a new player I have no idea what the hulls are etc.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, this is definitely something we can work on - thank you for the feedback!
