Great mechanic. Got a little easy once the erasers were introduced.
I liked the idea a ton, but personally im too dumb to solve the first puzzle thats a bit harder, good job
Hey that's no problem, thanks for trying it out anyway! Maybe I should adjust the learning curve
Excellent puzzle design, very intuitive and it makes you explore the mechanics. I liked it! :D
Thanks, that was exactly my goal :D
Finished! Excellent game design! I liked it a lot, Really needs music but the levels were nice. Nice take on the theme instead of linking stuff together having them stick is a nice twist. Played it twice cause it was really enjoyable. A little more time and it would make for a great puzzle game. Check out this skillz game, if you like classic games you'll love it. https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2021/rate/1081258#post-3733182
Glad you played to the end :D and twice too?! That makes my day! Yeah I focused on the level design this time so the art and sound is pretty bad. Next time I'll give equal time to all areas and maybe make a banger soundtrack ;)
very fun but I just disliked the textures they looked like they didnt belong.
Honestly I thew the textures together in the morning before submission. I only joined the Jam on the last 24 hours so everything was rushed. I'm happy with the main player and color scheme (I wanted it to feel like the slime toys kids play with), but yeah everything could easily be improved.
Great game loved the interpretation of theme, It can be a full fledged game once you introduce more types of boxes
Thanks! I was hoping to add a button-gate system, or boxes that slide off, but didn't have time. Maybe I'll try more types of boxes in the future, who knows :P
I like this game! Great art and gameplay! Good job!
Please check my game as well ;)
I really loved the concept of this one, the levels are well thought out. Also, 44 seconds before the deadline? respect.
Gotta take every last second for the best product ;) I spent those last few minutes adding the little particles for reaching the Lemon, which I think was a good investment. Glad you enjoyed!
This is a pretty interesting take on the theme. The levels are good about slowly introducing mechanics and are designed in a way that made me stop and think about my every move. A few of them had me stumped for a while, but they never felt frustrating. If you ever decide to come back to the game, I think it would be neat to have some type of button or sensor that requires you to amass a certain amount of blocks since the current version revolves entirely around having as few slime blocks attached as possible. The art and sound do their job well, although the move sound effect does get annoying after a while. Great job, this idea has a lot of potential!
I had the same idea when developing!! The button mechanic, that is. Sadly I just ran out of development time. Maybe a later draft!
Glad you enjoyed the level design and artwork! That was my focus for this jam. Next time, I'll improve the sound effects for sure. Cheers!
I liked this! Fun and engaging puzzle!
These are the types of games that are really good at making me feel dumb. Loved the concept and how it all goes downhill really quickly. Being able to connect and dissolve the slime to solve puzzles put things into a really good flow. Nice job, can absolutely expand into something really cool.
Glad you enjoyed :) I personally thought the pacing was too quick, but I'm glad it worked for you! And dissolving the blocks is sooo satisfying, wish I could've explored it more
