Ranked from 19 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
Chain enemies using your energy chain. Shooting chained enemies deal more damage. Shooting consumes energy, energy is also health. Killing chained enemies gives you energy.

This is one of the better games I've played this jam.  I liked the feeling of chaining a bunch of enemies together and taking them out quickly. I feel like either the enemies are too fast or the chain attack is too slow, as they're too fast to run from and your chain is often on cooldown from dealing with the last enemy.

Great game. One of the best in the jam.

I would be very happy if you would play my game.

Thank you! I checked out your game, it was quite fun to solve the levels

I’ve rate more than 30 submissions and your game is among my favorites !

Art is simple but do the job and everything (feedback, enemies, …) is clear. I think the difficulty is great, it forces us to take time to think before going into the battle.

That’s the type of game that can continue to live after the jam. Congratulations ! 👏

Chaining and then destroying enemies was pretty satisfying. I liked how the chain dragged things together letting you set up some nice quick kills. I did feel like the melee enemies moved/aggro'd a bit too quickly and it was hard to react in time. The cooldown on the chain was also maybe slightly too long as well since if an enemy aggro'd you'd typically want to chain on a box then the enemy (unless you get lucky and they're already right next to a box).

I'm not sure how I feel about health being tied to energy. On one hand I totally get that you want to discourage just shooting since I noticed enemies take significantly more hits to kill unchained. On the other hand it kind of feels bad when you lose most of your health setting up the chain and then you don't actually have enough energy to kill the chained enemies.

Hi! Thank you for your detailed feedback. It was very helpful. Most people have similar feedback about how the chain cooldown is too long. While it was my intention to make the player be more strategic about their chain usage, unfortunately it also reduces the feeling of responsiveness about it. I do think it's a better idea to reduce the cooldown of it by a little.

The part about losing most of your HP when setting up the chain and then running out of energy to kill enemies does feel bad and after a bit more playtesting, I've realised that. I'll be tweaking gameplay elements to strike a better balance in these mechanics. For example gaining energy the moment you create a successful link, to ensure you'll always have a supply of energy to kill chained enemies.

This is a pretty nice game.

Sometimes I was respawned in the enemies' field and immediately died again...

Hi thanks for your feedback. Sorry that happened, we didn't have much time to playtest the levels. This will be fixed after the jam.

I had so much fun playing this. The visuals, effects and gameplay are top notch!

the idea is very good, but it's very difficult, the chain size could be bigger

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry the difficulty curve has not been fine tuned. We will take this feedback into consideration and fine tune the gameplay.

It took me a while to get used to the idea, but I liked it. The graphics are cool and the music suits it.

The game crashes when the player presses Q in the Thanks for Playing screen, you might want to fix that. Other than that this game worked really well.

this is HARD but it looks and feels very GOOD

Cool game with really nice visuals! I loved the dual-purpose design of chaining to move and immobilize, and health as ammo. It was pretty challenging, it might have been nice to give more health from respawning at checkpoints, and maybe a faster recharge on the melee attack.

Great game! Rather difficult tho. I think the chaning could have a little more range/less cooldown

Cool concept.
Enemies were a bit unforgiving for me.
I love the art (except the walls... :d).
