I dig the momentum concept, really cool stuff. It's fun and challenging just pressing one way and then letting yourself glide. I thought the shooting was really interesting too because I had to balance between which direction I wanted to go and which direction I wanted to shoot, and doing both at the same time was hard since pressing a direction to shoot influences your movement. Good job!
This isn't too bad for your first game jam. It was a nice idea though not implemented as well as it should have been. It was satisfying at times when I let my momentum carry me though. I'd say if you increased the amount of inertial force acting on the player then this game would work a lot better. As of now it can frustrate a bit. Still, not bad man :)

Really original take on the theme, and it was fun to have this no-gravity floatsy controls. Great work :)
The control percentage was a cool mechanic and it was fun drifting around corners and running on fumes trying to get to the end. For a first jam it's a really good game! I think there are some balance tweaks, like the rate of fire on the cannons, and just adjusting so when you aren't controlling the movement you still have a decent speed because slowing to a crawl isn't great fun. But good job! :D

Sadly control timer is a pretty common theme, paired with the mediocre execution led to a underwhelming game. Do not let this discourage you though, everyone starts somewhere after all
Thanks for the response. watching you play my game on stream I learned a lot and I think that a bad presentation effected the fun of the game for you. I will make some adjustments to the game when I eventually get some free time.
