This is probably one I'll see on the video, I understand why you were so confused by the lack of views. Its hard to get noticed but once you do, you'll pop off! I could not for the life of me figure out Ambush and gave up, much later I figured out the pieces on the side let you switch your piece on the board. That was design genius in my opinion! It opened up so many new possibilities right away! Amazing work on design, art, juice/feel. I'm so happy I participated in this Jam, I'm looking forward to whatever you do next! This is inspirational for me. Could you tell me more about the team? or did you do it all by yourself? And your background etc, I would love to just talk haha.
Once again absolutely amazing job, I'll push the game where I can so it makes it to where it deserves to be! <3
WOW, that's so kind of you Rahul! It was me and my friend Nate (madgxov, definitely follow him because he's the genius). I did design and audio, and Nate did programming, design, and art.
I'm glad you liked the possession mechanic! That's a big part of our "only one" theme. You only possess one piece at a time, and then the victory condition is to be the only piece left on the board.
I've run through all of them and can confidently say that every level is solvable haha! I'm so incredibly happy to hear that this inspired you. We had so much fun working on it. Your game was the aaa_GROOVE one right? I loved that one, and I'm leaving it on my desktop :)
Also if you want to talk more follow me on twitter @neilquillen!
Mine was called I exist, but I played the aaagrove and it was pretty nice too xD
And as for the mechanics, I did not read the discription because I played it through the rating page. But it makes sense now. I beat most of the levels without possessing any tiles!!! I thought that was the hole idea haha. But I definitely needed the core for the later puzzles. Once again props to you guys. It's an amazing game!
Oh cool, link your game here so I can try it!
Here you are, I would love to get feedback!
