Cool concept and interesting art! I would have liked more puzzles here.
Pulling down the rocks and climbing to the house was it? Or did I miss something? <3

Well done! :) Core mechanic is cool, although I dont like the way the aiming works. But, using  the mouse weel to use you rope feels great. Also, the art style is charming!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, the aiming is definitely rough and could use some work, there was no real reason in retrospect to have the y axis locked until you're aiming.

But brave that you tried! Always hard to undermine expectations in this regard :)

There's a lot about this that I quite like. The art style is beautiful, the digetic ratcheting with the mouse wheel is clever, and the way that tool creates a unique platforming challenge is very good.

The camera is very disorientating, it's way too close to the character and it jitters way too much. Also, I feel like there could be a better input for the rope, it'll be impossible to play on a trackpad.

I love the concept though, jumping with hookshots is always lovely.

Developer

oh yeah, we didn't think too much about trackpad play, just adding some options for controls would've made it much better for that.

Pretty cool idea. The art style is very interesting. Well done. However the camera aiming could be better.

Developer

oh yeah, honestly it would've been a good call to make this an FPS, camera wouldn't  have been a problem and i wouldn't have had to make a character.

The character is very good though.

Really cool artstyle and cool mechanic, the camera is hard to work with and the level design do not use the mechanic very well but the concept is top! ( I really liked the "pop" sound of the arrow =p )

Developer

Thank you! :) Yeah, we got sucked into the rabbit hole of programming and art and didn't leave nearly enough time for playtesting and level design in this jam that is primarily focused on level design, lol.

Uh oh, did you just make a 3d platformerish video game where the main mechanic is a grappling hook?? Uh oh, that's actually pretty darn cool!! The only thing that bothers me is how close in the camera is
