I really dig the additions of the challenge room, but like others said I would like if the abilties like throwing and teleporting would be a bit more snappy, especially considering the design of the challenge rooms that require quick reactions.

The added challenges in the rooms are a great addition. For the final teleport challenge with the stone tiles room, I think you should have gone a little wider with your camera. I had to purposefully die a few times just to wrap my head around the layout so I could better navigate the space.

But overall, I like all the new additions and that tense boss theme with the cannons is excellent. One little oddity in the slime room is that when these fellas jumped, they would go behind the banner with the mouse directions. I'm not sure if that was intentional. I do also wish my shuriken went through the slimes and destroyed them, that way I could still teleport to it after, or there were times when I thought I was awesome for lining up a double kill with one shot, but my shuriken was destroyed upon impact.


Overall. Great work. I really liked your entry this round.

Thanks for the feedback! The reason why the shurikens dont pierce through the enemies is because it would hit the walls and the player might accidentally teleport to a place they don't want to go. You're definitely right about making the camera view bigger in the cave section though, I guess I just knew the whole section and didn't really realize how hard it is to see the obstacles.

I like everything you've added to your game. It's great fun to play. I agree with 89o that the teleport feels like it should work a little faster. It's still great though but with that little change it will be so much more better in my opinion

This did keep me engaged, although there are a few things that make it feel quite unfair. For instance, the super small camera size and slow camera speed. Because of that, I had to replay each part of the crystal room multiple times just to know how that part looked like. Not to mention that when I teleported somewhere, I was basically shooting blindly because the camera was still waiting where I was previously. This is luckily fixed in the cannonball level, which I think was my favorite, although even there the shuriken teleportation felt sluggish to me for some reason (maybe there was a delay between when you could shoot and when you could teleport?) In the end, it was only really worth teleporting when it was absolutely necessary.

yeah, I feel like you’re definitely right about the camera being really small and slow. I don’t think there’s a delay between when you can shoot and teleport, it’s just that the throwing animation takes a half second to complete, which might have made it seem a bit slow. Thanks for the detailed feedback!
