Really love how everything fit together, and the really crisp (vector delivered?) graphics. Almost seems crazy for me to say this, but in a way I wish it was a bit shorter as it was a little long to go through the whole thing multiple times to see the different endings - but I really appreciate there being different entries, so nice work on that front.

Also, thank you for adding the suggestion on how to pass the green arrow section in the game page, I too got stuck there. It felt a bit like you found a quirk in your implementation of the arrows and then build a puzzle around, rather than an intentionally designed puzzle section. I recall an old adage about making the impossible leap at least 2x outside the players jump radius. Not that there’s jumping in this case, but the point is to make sure that any solutions that won’t work aren’t attractive. In this case, I tried dipping in and out of the green area but just not at the top, as well as slipping by the narrow green section without moving the block first because it seemed like I was really close.

Love the graphics that both match the cultural settings and suggest old school pixel graphics. A very complete game for such a short jam, with a nice story mechanic that builds well.

Great art, music, and level design. Love the mini boss fights!!! And such a good ending on you having to choose who gets to live based on their stories you find out about!

This was great!  I feel like the environment was top tier, and the way things would time up with the music was a great touch.  Overall phenomenal entry.  My only complaint is that there was a spot in the green area that felt a little too confusing with getting past the arrows.  Looks like Spoonsweet got stuck in the same spot.  I feel like sometimes the mechanics slowed the story down a little bit but that might have been my preference for the difficulty.  Great game!

Such a cool game! The story on the painting was a great way to give context and narrative!
Also, the environmental story telling with all the souls moving to the door.. wow

Amazing work!

I am so annoyed I get to read all the comments about a great boss fight, yet I cannot get past the green puzzle with the pink arrows! After meeting Orange, you learn how to block the arrow traps. And then its this branching path with traps both ways (one has three in a row). How do I get past that please?

Got stuck in the exact same place haha.  Turns out if you barely touch the trap activator square near the top, you can keep touching the square without getting killed by the arrows.  As long as you don't move off the square and it stays lit up it won't shoot again and you can move past.

oh cool! Thanks for the top gamer tip! I'll definitely have to try this again once I manage to play other peoples games!

Thanks for clarifying it for Spoonsweet, you explained that really well. I left a note (using your words, hope you don't mind!) with a screenshot in the description for any future players that will have this problem.

Another great game. I loved the battles and the story was great. High marks for all the criteria.

First of all, the amount of polish packed in is incredible. I love the art and the color choices. A couple more music tracks would have been nice (for different areas), as the one got repetitive and the boss music felt a little out of place.  Multiple boss fights is great, but they felt a little easy. (I remember playing an earlier version when they were extremely hard, so a middle ground would have been nice.) I love the variety in obstacles and areas, and the level design was super great. Collecting the different pictures and following the story was very fun too, well done.

The game is really good! The boss fights were definitely a highlight for me – challenging but rewarding. I think the overall pace could be improved with slightly faster movement or perhaps slightly slower boss attacks. The main game had a great variety, and although some parts were tough, I persevered. I reached what seems like the final boss with a parrot keeping an eye on things no less. I think I almost had it, but I'll have to try again another day
