This definitely shows a lot of promise! The mock-up you've put together looks like you're ready for a solid platformer, it's disappointing that you didn't get enough time (yet) to really flesh it out. I'm looking forward to future updates!

How does your game match the theme?
My fiancee and I are in a long distance relationship, and we wanted to create a game that tackles the aspect of the physical "space" between us (by having our main character literally travel to the moon). She took care of the initial concept and box art, while I handled the sprites, coding, and music. We did our best to conceptualize, sprite, and build the game within the time limit, but we severely overestimated how much time we would be able to dedicate to our project, Scarlet Rain. Despite only having an alpha build and a few mock-up screenshots to show, we hope to turn this into a small but complete experience by the end of the year.
