This game has such nice aesthetics! Nicely done.
Happy to hear that ^^
I enjoyed the game and the aesthetics! Jumping was a little stiff, but once I stopped trying to fight with it and just went along with it I had a good time. I think maybe a double hop, or a sword might be a nice addition. Good job!
There were still so many ideas to implement, unfortunately I didn't get around to it. I'm glad to hear that you liked the game.
The game ran very smoothly and didn't have any issue. Even the sound when fall down was time right. Good job on that :)
Thanks! Especially for giving me feedback on the sound too ^^
np
Good game but reckon the controls need work. Very difficult !
Yes, the jump and maybe the speed of the character. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to fix it, think it was even worse at the beginning :'D
difficult controlls and only 1 health ^^ but overall nice game <3
Thanks for the feedback. Only one life is intentional XD I could have created some power-ups like an "AkuAku" that allows you to take an extra hit. Unfortunately I didn't have the time XD Among the controls maybe I should have slowed down a little more the speed, but jumping is the offender number 1.
Nice game, it was fun but difficult. Good sound design too, very retro. The half pixel art design though is a bit off. I feel like it would read better if everything had the same pixel style. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback ^^ The time available was what it was... and having worked there alone I didn't have the time to dedicate myself to the assets personally. Above all the background clashes with the pixel art style, I realize that perfectly. Furthermore, the protagonist's asset is intentionally larger (100x100) than the tile map and enemies (32x32) because the girl finds herself in a tiny realm. The difficulty is deliberately hard because I was unable to implement a second level. Let's say I gave much more importance to the programming than to the general art style of the game because I wanted to give that retro taste typical of classic 2D platformers and I'm glad there are some elements that you recognized as such.
Bonus... I also unintentionally created a spiritual sequel of the game I developed for last year's GameDev.tv jam XD
It is a good game but the control is dificult it feels like be on ice
Yes I know, and you don't know how many attempts I made to improve the feed but... without success :( More than anything else, the jump is the main problem... I used every strategy from buffering to coyote time and other tricks, but without success. Also because the time available was what it was :(
