This game is amazing! In the beginning, I didn't understand how to work the traps but I reread the instructions and then I enjoyed being evil and pushing everyone into the water :D Very fun and challenging without being too difficult. Good work :)

Interesting mechanic. Hard to find where's my dude in the beginning when they were all piled up. Kinda like Squid Game with players tumbling out of the track.

Developer

Thanks, yeah at the start of the level everyone piles up in a single spot and it's a bit messy, I'll try to fix this in the post jam version

Nice take on the genre. Funny theme in combination with colorful and ridiculous aesthetics. Adding some visuals to the tutorial pages could help with clarity but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Another suggestion would be to keep your dude marked when having camera on follow as it can get pretty messy at the start.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and yeah, the start is super messy, at the moment the dudes all pile up in a single point, I wanted to work on that but ran out of time :D

Very nice game, extra kudos for making everything yourself.

Gameplay is pretty neat and quite easy to get into, which is really good because I stopped reading the tutorial after the second page XD

It must have been quite fun to record the sounds, and I'm glad you didn't put an obligatory Wilhelm scream in :P

Nice job :D

Thanks!

The original plan for the tutorial had pictures and animations, but I couldn't make it in time :D

Recording the voices was the funniest part, for sure

This was such a great take on this genre! also loved the art, animations and sound! i'm curious how does the ai work? great job!

Developer

Thanks!

Regarding the AI, the dudes' basic behaviour is following the checkpoints on the track choosing randomly where there are alternate routes, if another dude is in front and within range there's a chance that they will be pushed out of the way and finally if an obstacle activates in front of the dude they have a chance of avoiding it by jumping or halting depending on the type of obstacle.

I built a sort of state machine to manage what the dudes can do at any given time
